While many of our favorite luxury brands are experiencing major transition periods, Saint Laurent’s strong, distinct vision, under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello, is here to stay. That vision comes to life once again in new campaign images, art directed by Vaccarello and lensed by South African photographer Henrik Purienne.
Known for his vintage aesthetic and female-centric imagery, Vaccarello has worked with Purienne many times in the past, and the duo has reunited again to celebrate the summer season.
Saint Laurent introduces the Shades of Summer campaign to showcase its summer capsule collection, which is full of pieces that ooze the ease of summer, no matter what’s on the agenda. The images capture the light-heartedness of the season, with hints of sensuality.
Summer-Ready Bags You’ll Carry Everywhere

From days on the beach to nights on the beach club, Vaccarello has covered it all. Of course, a new selection of summer-ready bags is part of the focus here, like the beloved Raffia Icare Maxi, which will take you from the beach to the beach club and beyond, plus the Gaby Vanity Bag for nights out on the town.
The fan-favorite Y Tote gets a beach-ready makeover in clear TPU with leather trim. Elsewhere, micro versions of Saint Laurent icons like the Loulou and Gaby Vanity bag add a hint of playfulness to the season. Saint Laurent has got you covered if you are having a scarf girl summer too.

Introducing the Shades of Summer Campaign

$3,300 for a bag made of Thermoplastic Polyurethane? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I don‘t want to imagine how it feels worn against the body in 35 degrees centigrade…
Honestly, I was expecting that to be more like $1,500. I had to do a double take!
Same. I just don’t see the value here.
Oh my now we have pornography
😂 👏 ❤️
It’s a sensual and sexy campaign.
Seems like you haven’t seen actual pornography in a very long time (or maybe ever?). Nothing pornographic here.
It’s giving 90s to me!!!! The way models looked like back then and the campaigns. Plus the suede and sandals. I like it! I def think the prices are crazy, but that’s where we are with every fashion house.
OMG. Just no
What the actual f**k. Between the softcore porn pics and the cheap meshy and plastic bags for thousands and the suede at the beach…ok, sure.
I don’t think anyone noticed the bags in this campaign😂
What bags?
