Once upon a time Mansur Gavriel‘s bucket bag was the most sought after bag in the fashion world. Fans fell for its classic shape, contrasting interior and quality Italian craftsmanship. I myself waited months before I could finally snag a bucket bag of my own. Fast forward 7 years and Mansur Gavriel’s bags have remained a staple in the wardrobes of fashion’s most elite editors, influencers and celebrities. Known for their minimalist approach to design, Mansur Gavriel’s bags have remained mostly print-free since the brand launched in 2012. That’s all about to change later this week when the brand’s new capsule collection hits stores on April 26th
For Spring-Summer 2019, Mansur Gavriel introduces its first artist collaboration with contemporary artist Marc Camille Chaimowicz. The London based contemporary artist designed three exclusive custom prints, for the brand which are available on a few different styles. Fans can choose from the Mini Bucket Bag, the Top Handle Rounded Bag, the Large Tote, and the Moon Wallet. Prices are on par with the brand’s contemporary price point with a slight increase of course. For example a solid mini bucket in calf will cost you $610, while the printed version retails for $695. The collection will be available at Liberty of London, Mansur Gavriel’s Wooster Street and Melrose Place stores as well as via Mansur Gavriel’s online shop.
These are beautiful.
Number 9 clutch. It’s cute and I like it.
I’m sorry I meant number 6.
I didn’t need to scroll through that many of these to get the picture. Nope. Although I’m sure there is a market.. Retirement community.
I really like this collab. Especially slide 3 mini bucket. The color combo is refreshing.
Agree! I think they are beautiful.
I love the bucket bag! ? The designs are soft and subtle, I also like the shape of the clutch. Half moon is definitely in style. ?
I don’t like the color combinations. I feel like I’d have to dress in either solid black or white to carry one of those bags. Not practical at all,
Love the shapes, hate the prints. Makes me feel all Etsy…bad Etsy!
The random patterns on the bags creates an aesthetic that is unappealing. It’s haphazard, not well thought out and unevenly composed. Unfortunately, it also cheapens the brand.
Totally agree. I’m not sure which demographic the brand is targeting but the print reminds me of something you’d find in a hotel gift shop.
Nice collection of women bags. I like the color and minimalist design.
I like reading through the comments on a post like this. Opinion is truly split, it seems.
