You all already know by now how much I love Mansur Gavriel. If I could have one of everything, I would. I might have to build a second closet to house it all, but I totally, one-hundred-percent would take it. I love the modern, minimalistic feel to the bags, the myriad color choices, the craftsmanship and the beautiful leather. The bags certainly age and show wear—I’ve talked about this before, but I love how much character they have, even after a few carries.
I still religiously carry the brand’s signature bucket bag, but I’m currently lusting after one of the brand’s newer designs. The Circle Crossbody Bag has my heart these days, and for fall, I am completely loving it in olive green. I wore this little lady around town with Levi’s jeans, a marigold sweater and Mansur’s classic loafers, which are $425 via Neiman Marcus. This season, designers are doing the minimalist thing in many different ways, structural shapes being one of them. The circle crossbody bag is the perfect bag to embrace this trend.
Crafted in the brand’s Italian calf leather, this bag is as beautiful as it is functional. With a removable crossbody strap, it can be carried cross body during the day, or by top handle for a nighttime look. The bag features one internal slit pocket. Overall dimensions of the Circle Crossbody Bag are 7.5″ H X 8″ W X 2.5″ D. I comfortably fit all of the below in the bag, and with the double zip closure, it’s easy to get in and out of the bag to grab something without unzipping the entire thing. The Circle Crossbody retails for $795 via Mansur Gavriel or NET-A-PORTER.
I have this circle crossbody in Flamma. Stunning red hue. Love love love. You know how there are bags out there which are aesthetically pleasing but when you use it, they do not look as good on you for some reason. Well, this one, certainly, does not fall into that category. However, I found that there are a few drawbacks to this bag. When I put it down, the strap unclasped on its own without me noticing. So when I picked up the bag by the strap instead of the top handle, it caught me off guard and my bag nearly fell. This happened enough times for me to be annoyed by it. I don’t understand why it would do that. Furthermore, the leather does scratch easily. I wore mine for only two months and there were already visible scuff marks (as is evident in the posted picture). Great practical bag, nonetheless. I could fit everything I needed in that bag. I used it as a day bag and for travelling. Just disappointed at the inferior quality. Due to this experience, I will think thrice before purchasing any of Mansur Gavriel products.
