Louis Vuitton’s second collaboration with contemporary artist Yayoi Kusama launched earlier this year with pieces spanning both womenswear and menswear, and including ready-to-wear, bags, shoes, luggage, trunks, and fragrances. The first drop was vast, but it didn’t stop there, and now the brand is unveiling the second chapter of one of its largest collaborations to date.

Creating Infinity

Drop 2 of Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama, titled Creating Infinity, will launch later this month, but we have a first look at what else is to come right now. New campaign images staring Justin Timberlake, Lea Seydoux, Cate Blanchett, and more showcase new pieces from the collection.

On the heels of its first drop, which highlighted Kusama’s most important signifiers like signature Dots, the avant-garde collaboration continues with new motifs. Louis Vuitton plays on Kusama’s expressive, joyful spirit with these new patterns, which are showcased in images by famed photographer Steven Meisel. Louis Vuitton Ambassadors and friends of the House appear alongside items from the second drop of the collaboration in a series of fun portraits embellished with colorful expressionistic makeup by Pat McGrath.

More of Kusama’s signatures are utilized in drop 2. This time, it’s flowers, Radiant Pumpkins, and Infinity Dots, outfitting Louis Vuitton’s fan-favorite silhouettes like the Monogram Onthego, Neverfull, Speedy, and more. Creations from Drop 2 of the Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama collaboration will be available in boutiques worldwide starting March 31st. View campaign images below, courtesy of Louis Vuitton. Right??! I don’t understand this type of sentiment—why not simply say “ This isn’t for me”? ….sheesh!

Because people are ignorant and do not appreciate art or have empathy.

Who? Me? You don’t know me at all apparently. Let’s keep it that way……I don’t do ignorant.

And you just cemented your “elitist” POV with that. Congratulations.

Do you realize that this “cartoonish” design as you call it was the artist’s expression and that she suffered terribly from anxiety, depression, etc. These designs were her happy place. I understand that you may not care for them, but please have some sensitivity and understanding of this 94 year old artist and her pieces. It will likely be her last collaboration with LV.

No. No. She’s not in Preschool?! I can respect that she has anxiety and more, but guilting me into liking it?!?!? And that artist is extremely racist. She does think Africans and black skin are not human. So if you are going to use morals and values to argue- take her racism into consideration

I said nothing about you purchasing an item. I just asked you to keep your negative. Thoughts to yourself. Especially considering the situation. Please don’t pull a race card into this and start some thing that is completely off-topic to this entire post.

Nope, YOU started it. Everyone can have an opinion about the design. YOU don’t get to dictate that an opinion is offensive because of the artist’s feelings or mental state or whatever. THAT is irrelevant.
Also, puh-leese. I’m so tired of people using their “misfortune” as a ploy for financial advantage. I’m sure her paycheck for putting her “pain” on 5000 dollar bags will be very therapeutic.

Your lack of empathy and ignorance is disgraceful. No use in trying to reason with that. Move on.

I think these are nicer than the colorful polka dots, but I bought a small Alma in red and white dots. I think it’s a fun collaboration, but I recognize it’s not for everyone.

Why not? What’s wrong with him? They used Gisele Bündchen for the last campaign. 🤷‍♀️

Not a fan, history of not being good to women, typical entitled Caucasian male demeanor.

So u hate him partially coz he is white? And to you, his skin color can be brought into any irrelevant subject negatively? You are racist.

It’s terrible! Lol 😂. It looks unprofessional. I can’t believe a professional artist did that! I kinda love it because people are going to spend thousands of dollars on that 💩

May not be for everyone but the Speedy pumpkin and the blue and white dots Infinity are unique and easy on the eyes.
I’ll have those…
