We’ve already brought you a detailed look at Louis Vuitton’s brand new City Steamer (not to mention its extremely expensive crocodile iteration), but those aren’t the only bags Vuitton has cooked up for Cruise 2016. The brand’s Palm Springs runway show was full of new prints and shapes, including bags patterned after rippling water and palm trees, as well as a new line of backpacks in traditional monogram canvas.
Vuitton has added many of the bags to its website, most of which are immediately purchasable online. (The exotics, sadly, will require a visit to a boutique or, at the very least, a phone call.) Below, we’ve picked a representative sample of the bags, which emphasize monogram alongside the new prints. You can check out the full online selection at Louis Vuitton’s website.
I love the Twist bags, but none of these are very pretty. They look like LV made replicas of their own bags. The black crocodile Petite Malle is stunning, and I really like the backpacks.
the croc petit malles are just beyond !
Im falling in ?? with LV again! Its strange but I keep checking their website! My next bag will be a LV, not sure which yet!
Ok, I give up. What is the loop for on the bottom of the backpacks?
At first I thought it’s for someone (your kid? your friend) to hang on or hold on to when trying to push through a crowd so no one gets missing.
According to the LV website, it’s a scarf loop. I went the site to see the inside of the backpack, and it was listed under the details section.
Right…. like instead of WEARING my scarf I’ll just tie it onto the BOTTOM of my backpack and let it flap about and get filthy. Smart.
I thought the exact same thing. Asinine.
I could have sworn I tied a scarf on here this morning…
To hang the hideous fox tail charms or Fendi bugs maybe???
Where’s Marc Jacobs when you need him…these bags are hideous reminds me of Chanel, which means flashy and okay quality at best.
I thought I was looking at a fake Vuitton site.
Not one of these bags has any appeal and the prices are ridiculous. Nearly $6000 for a tarted-up Alma PM? I like LV and whenever I go into an LV store I see a few bags that I’d be happy to own, usually in the empreinte leather — but these “creative” attempts just aren’t working.
I think there’s an error on the backpacks for slides 13 &14. One is a PM, not MM:)
I have always been a big fan of their epi line. I love the light weight, durability and the price point. But these, seriously?
I really don’t know how to feel / what to say about this new print…….Am I the only one who can’t believe it is a print from LV?
Not going to lie, kinda want the mini backpack
Many don’t work, looks like mash-up design to me.
I like the Steamer but seems over priced. Anyone seen it in person?
Ugly. So so ugly. Is this what they charge top dollar for? Now more ugly styles have been added to the dull brown monogram. LV is just resting on its laurels now, there is no innovation in style or design, just ugly copied bags to fulfill a season and charging the price for the brand. The big ugly LV on the new bags are so horrible. I prefer the previous open lock button – it looks more chic and subtle, unlike the huge LV. Chanel, LV, all are just resting on their laurels. I walk into these stores because they are so popular and walk out without a purchase because not only are the designs ugly and lack innovation, their prices are also ridiculous.
+kkkkkkkkkkkkkk
