Here’s What $1,200 Will Get You at the 10 Hottest Luxury Brands

Spoiler alert...it's not all that much.

Bags under 1200 dollars

Every quarter, Lyst releases a quarterly report called The Lyst Index, which analyzes the online shopping habits of shoppers around the globe.

The report looks at data from sales, Google searches, and other important markers. Loewe took the top spot, kicking Miu Miu off its pedestal to number two. Some of the biggest brands in the handbag world followed suit, including Saint Laurent, Prada, and more.

We pulled the top ten luxury handbag brands in order, and here’s what $1,200 will get you at each one. Relatively speaking, $1,200 is a lot of money, but that all changes when luxury comes into play. We used to use $1,000 as a good benchmark for entry-level prices, but with handbag prices skyrocketing and never-ending price increases, starter bags under $1K are no longer an option.

How Much Does $1,200 Really Get You in Today’s Luxury Market?

What $1,000 and even $1,200 can buy you is changing rapidly, but things are hopefully turning around, as more and more brands feel the impact of consumers’ price fatigue.

Below, let’s look at what you can get for the summer 2025 season with $1.2K.

I’m done canceling brands, buy what you like. We gave Balenciaga a long enough detention, it was definitely a lapse in judgement (and yes I have kids) and it could have been handled better (but no children were actually abused here lets remember that) but all the big designers would be cancelled at this point if we held grudges on their poor judgements at times. I can’t deny their gorgeous designs and lovely craftsmanship any longer. At least they are paying the people who make their goods unlike Dior… You know how to get a lot of bang for $1200? Buy preowned!

Pandal

I totally agree! Balenciaga apologized for their marketing team’s mishap years ago!
No children were harmed!
This fashion house is legendary and it’s definitely time to stop the 3 years grudge! Move on and appreciate the gorgeous offerings that Balenciaga has to offer.

InMyHumbleOpinion

Agreed. I have encountered too many people who can’t explain their grudge against Balenciaga. Advertisers always need a sound social justice check.

Lorelei

The only one that’s cute is the Balenciaga and they’re still on a time out right?!

Ashmalli

They are def still canceled

Lorelei

Haha! I was just in Paris and their boutiques in Printempe and Bon Marche and on Saint Honore were always deserted. Louis Vuitton 🤯

lin

I would buy the prada

Sam

Love the saint laurent~

This should be a wake-up call. Fabric pouches and straw bags for $1200? The hurt that luxury brands are experiencing is self-inflicted.

I wish you had left in Coach and COS which were in the top 10, as Coach is doing incredibly well and COS has great budget options. I’m also not sure why you skipped over Ralph Lauren. I’ve been searching for a particular vintage Ricky bucket bag for years after letting one slip through my fingers.

I like the Miu Miu jacquard stripe 💚
