In My Bag

In My Bag: Bindya NY Scarf

If you have followed our In My Bag series so far, you will realize I carry a variety of odd items around with me. I’m a Virgo, so I am fairly Type A and I really love planning. I see my handbag as a portable hold-everything kit. I keep all essentials at all times and find a way to keep my bag from being too heavy, even with my somewhat ridiculous mix of items.

I typically leave scarves out of my bag in the summer unless I am traveling, but come fall and winter, I almost always have a scarf in my bag when I leave the apartment. I’m one of those people who gets cold really easily, like yesterday when it was in the 50s and I kept asking Vlad if it was about to snow. Yea, I am that person. I was introduced to Bindya NY earlier this year, and since the first time I met the designer and tried her scarves for myself, I’ve been hooked.

I’ve told you many times that my wardrobe is typically simple, and this is why I turn to my accessories to up the ante. Bindya has so many scarf patterns that it’s crazy. After visiting her showroom, she sent me home with a few different ones, from bright colors and patterns to subtle neutrals, there is something for every outfit and every season. Scarves are a great accessory and always serve a purpose, to keep your warm or accessorize your accessories. Sometime I wrap up my scarf really tight and tie it to by bag as if it is an add-on.

With the recent chill in the air, I seriously cannot leave home without a scarf, and right now I am turning to the lightweight but extremely cozy and warm offerings from Bindya NY. Shop Bindya scarves via ChicTweak. Also, bag is Rebecca Minkoff Francoise Tote available via ShopBop for $550.
