Marc Jacobs Chinchilla Venetia Bag

Marc Jacobs Chinchilla Venetia Bag

Slow but steady wins the race. This week I have had some huge family problems, which has moved Viewer’s Choice Monday to ‘whenever’. So I have to get to an email Christie sent me. She said, “I found this horrid Marc Jacobs bag while browsing Neiman Marcus. The Venetia is my favorite style normally, but what on earth is this?! Maybe you like it, I have no idea, but it just seems like overkill to me.” I’m not sure about all of you, but I am curiously and mysteriously drawn to this bag. Fur is so in style right now it’s ridiculous. I just bought myself a new fur coat… quite fashionable and not fully practical but I love it. I really feel like I could rock out this Marc Jacobs bag like it was my job.

The Marc Jacobs Chinchilla Venetia Bag puts the fuzz in this fur season. All the way from Africa, Marc Jacobs has found beautifully soft ivory chinchilla fur. My favorite part of the bag is the combination of fur on leather. Not only is there brown leather, but also there is tan lizard trim. Both of those can be found on the two front pockets with beautiful push-lock closures. That is so cool. Possibly pointless, but I tend to like pointless things. The bag also shows off signature golden hardware and can be carried by the two top handles. The dimensions of this fur ball with handles is 12″H x 16″W x 4″D. I can totally see where Christie is coming from; this bag is over-the-top, possibly a bit of overkill, impractical, and overly furry. But I just love it. If I could afford this purchase, I would make my way through cyber space to Neiman Marcus and buy this crazy beauty for $3,500.
