The high fashion world is no stranger to cool collabs and the latest lust-worthy new partnership comes from the House of Gucci. The luxury Italian brand has paired up with the outdoor experts at The North Face on a collection of RTW and accessories for both men and women that is as chic and stylish as it is functional. A seemingly unlikely duo, this new partnership works incredibly well, fusing both brands commitments to innovation and sustainability. The collection is inspired by adventure seekers and investigates the spirit of exploration and self-discovery. Both brands aim to empower people by allowing them to celebrate and explore ones own characteristics and personalities. Travel is an integral part of self-discovery and thus Gucci x The North Face was born.
The retro-esque, 70’s-inspired collection is revealed in new images that were shot by photographer Daniel Shea in the Alps. The breath-taking scenery of forests and mountain peaks is the perfect backdrop to showcase the colorful and creative pieces from the collection. The collection spans many categories, featuring products for men and women as well as unique outdoor goods which are quintessential to The North Face, such as tents and sleeping bags.
As for the bags, this collection further cements Alessandro Michele’s commitment to the environment by utilizing ECONYL®, which is a nylon fabric sourced from regenerated materials. The color palette is bold and bright, inspired by the 70’s and hand-selected from The North Face’s archives. Pieces are shown in a variety of motifs from Gucci’s iconic House motifs to various versions of The North Face x Gucci logo print. The collection includes backpacks and belt bags in various sizes. View more from the collection below and discover via Gucci.com. The collection is not yet available to shop, but you can enter The North Face x Gucci special drawing for early online access.

I remember when Gucci used to be a luxury brand, not a vomit of silly string.
Best thing heard all day.
What a hotmess this is and I thought we had already seen the worst with the supreme LV nightmare
You buy Gucci OR North Face. Why pay a Gucci price for North Face? That combo logo is so vulgar.
I totally agree. This collab is a hotmess. Maybe North Face and Target would have worked better? the logo looks like vomit on everything.
Next time I’m climbing a Fourteener in Colorado I’ll be sure to pack my heels! ?
I like the hiking boots!, I like the idea of a luxury brand offering interesting collaborations. They have something for all tastes…
I do too — and the blue puffer I would happily live in forever for the tundra of NYC winters!
The photos look too retro to understand how the items would actually look. But I sort of like the black backpack.
this is going to sell out quick. i know these prices are gonna be ridiculous too.
In the time like these they proceed to make unnecessary products like these for less 2% of people in the planet would buy it.
I just can’t understand this. Who wears this? People who go glamping for 5 hrs and then head home because nature happens.
The big backpacks are the only things confusing me, the rest can be easily worn in the city. Hiking-style boots can be great for NYC winters and such. Don’t know why people are rolling their eyes and saying “who’d go camping/hiking in these” – most of these clothes are exactly what I see in cold weather in daily life. Canada Goose, North Face — I’m sorry but these aren’t exactly brands that only cater to hardcore outdoorsy people, they’re just not.
And as for the “but why is the photoshoot in nature then” – because it goes with the theme sort of, and photoshoots have happened in much stupider places. 😛
– signed, person who doesn’t even like Gucci OR North Face
i like the floral puffers.
I like it. The boots are really cute. Also, North Face is not just for camping or outdoor activities. I own a North Face jacket and wouldn’t be caught anywhere doing those kinds of outdoor activities. When we lived in Virginia, my kids wore North Face. I don’t know why everyone is thinking that North Face is solely for camping and the like. Not everyone wants to wear Moncler to keep warm.
Is the Gucci pop up ad showing up for everyone else? It’s very annoying! It’s blocking 1/3 of the post, making it impossible to review the photos. I have tried to delete or move it and it won’t go away. It’s fine to advertise, but ads shouldn’t cover the article/photos! ?
This looks to me like a bunch of fashionista hippies got lost in the woods.
I’ve never been a fan of The North Face and the brand feels very middle-class. Not sure why Gucci found it appropriate to create this collab. It just drags the brand downward in my mind. To each their own though. I’m certain plenty of folx will love it, especially with those big loud Gucci logos.
If they want to collaborate with a mid-range brand they could have chosen a more interesting brand than North Face. Better to stick with collaborations with independent artists (or prominent persons).
Are you implying there is something wrong with being middle class?
I’m not sure how you come to such ridiculous conclusion from reading my post. ?????
You are defensive; but it’s a fair question. You stated “the brand feels very middle-class” which can be interpreted in many different ways, despite that may not have been your intent. ?
I’m defending myself because I’m being attacked… is this wrong too? LMAO
Fact: The North Face is a middle-class brand. Fact: Gucci is a luxury brand. These brands have very different retail and pricing strategies. That’s all I said. Y’all should just come off your high horses and chill rather than trying to figure out what I might be “implying.” ???
Thank you. I assumed it meant didn’t feel luxurious but why not just say that instead of associating a brand as being of a certain class? Came off negative to me so I asked to clarify :]
I know, but someone refuses to accept that it was an innocuous question. ????
And someone refuses to accept that it was an innocuous post.
Chill out. You wanna post opinions on an public space, people are going to misinterpret what you say. If it bothers you that much, just don’t do it lol.
“Anonymous” ???
Nothing wrong with middle class, but this was supposed to be a luxury brand. Luxury brands used to cater to the upper class, but now they cater to everybody. Which is plastered everywhere on social media. Which makes you wonder, if brands like Gucci should still be considered luxury.
These made me laugh. In a good way. Just silly.
Covetable is not the word I’d use for this horror story. No Thanks.
straight out of the 70’s, hard pass. lol
Both companies need to stay in their respective lanes
Both need to stay in their respective lanes
As an avid hiker but also a lover of lux, this collab flat out misses the mark for me. I’m interested and also kind of horrified to find out what type of materials are used for the clothing. Because rule #1 is cotton kills out there in the great out doors and also, brands operating in the recreational space are tending to go more sustainable nowadays. AND the designs are just ugly.
Also, if you hike, it is inevitable that your stuff will get dirty or even ruined. Who would want this?? Hikers with disposable income similar to Jeff Bezos?
Ah, now I remember why I stopped reading on the purseforum and purseblog. It’s the most negative and least creative or open-minded group of conservative old ladies I’ve ever seen on any online fashion forum ?
A little ageist and sexist perhaps? The average age of a luxury item purchaser is 53
I don’t feel it’s a group of “conservative old ladies”, but there are some who are angry & it’s so uncomfortable.
There is nothing wrong with being old or conservative in my opinion ??
Love this collaboration and can’t wait to purchase 1 or 2 pieces. They are much better than latest LV collaboration piece which I found so terrible.
Sandal-loafers. Because when you wear loafers all week at your corporate job, you miss them too much on your weekend hiking trip. So you buy the Gucci sandal/loafer combo, and the trip is instantly better. I wonder if the socks are attached???
If I had been carrying a Gucci backpack and wearing a Gucci money belt when I fell in quicksand while hiking in Tunisia, I would have been really pi$$ed. Are you kidding? I won’t even wear Gucci shoes when it’s raining. Try again Gucci.
