I got this bag after much deliberation . I was in love with all leather brown version online but when I went into the store . I was blown away by canvas. I never liked logo canvas on bags usually but this was just so nice . I have it for few weeks now . I have only one negative to report and that is on the strap there is few buttons and my hair gets caught on it and rips few stands out each time. I’m not sure how I’m going to fix the problem but it’s staying with me . Other than that it’s just so beautiful and classic . When weather is cold I’m all about sweater dresses and camel coats and boots so wearing this bag is just so effortless . I don’t know if I could transition this into my summer wardrobe. Fits all my essentials ; full size wallets , keys , sunglasses . Perfume , lipglosses , wipes and some more room . Opens and closes without fussy mechanism and gold hardware is so chic . I am gold jewelry girl but very minimalistic. Most I’ll wear 2 layer necklaces and this bag vibes with me a lot . It’s not too shiny and jiggly all over . I had chloe Tess and when I first had it I was in love but gets very tiring to deal hardware and noise and how heavy it was . This bag is light , not noisy and easy with style. I wear mostly crossbody and it’s been so nice . Also gets a lot of attention , I was at department store and I had so many people staring at my bag and complementing . It certainly is a show stopper than any of my other bags.
So glad you got it and love it! The monogram canvas version is extraordinary. I typically don’t gravitate toward logo bags myself, but I am head over heels in love with it. I think it transitions to summer well actually, the GG Supreme canvas print is timeless and can go with light denim, summer whites, and light colors.
I almost always have my hair up, so haven’t experienced that problem – but I know exactly what you’re talking about!
I also have a problem with buckles catching on my waist length hair. I don’t like to wear it up so I typically put my hair in a side ponytail and problem solved. I really do love this bag though! My one question is can the strap be extended? On the shoulder or even crossbody it looks a bit short.

I usually like the Gucci monogram on bags but this bag looked better in the all leather version. I do love the Dior booktote that a girl had in one of the pictures. 🙂
What do you think, would the book tote be a good “investment” to ones bag collection, or will it look dated too soon? I do need a tote bag and I choose between the Dior book tote and Louis Vuitton never full in damier ebene.
Is there any other bag that I should consider? I do not care for Goyard.
The Neverfull will never go out of style, but I think the Dior Book Tote is more impressive to look at (and touch). There aren’t a ton of other large open totes like that and the Dior is really magnificent!
I purchased the Dior Book Tote and it was stunning, but too large for me and I’m 5″10″. I think what I didn’t like was that I had to carry it by hand or in the crook of my arm, hence making it too awkwardly large so I returned it. Dior is releasing a smaller version 10″x14″ (?), which is perfect for me.
I have the book tote and I love it. I’m 5’3” so I’m able to carry it over my shoulder but it can be tight if I’m wearing a sweater or jacket.
My advice is to get an organizer as it’s just one large compartment and you will be constantly digging thru it to find your stuff. It will also keep the bottom from sagging eventually.
It’s a very large bag. It’s larger than the Neverfull and bulkier as it’s basically a giant blocky bag so I find myself bumping into people a lot with it. I also advise getting some Mitza’s and wrapping the handles if you get a canvas version bc eventually the sweat from your hand or any lotions, oils, etc. will eventually discolor the handles.
It’s a beautiful bag (I got the Tropicalia print) and quite a head turner. It’s definitely a good shopping and travel bag, but not an everyday bag. If you want an everyday bag, I’d get the Neverfull.
I bought a book tote in Paris last month. I bought the embossed leather version. I am traveling right now and using it. I think it will last and not look dated. I don’t think the same for the embroidered bags. The quality of the leather of the tote I bought is amazing. My only minor complaint is that it is a hand carry only bag. I thought about getting the Neverfull for the shoulder option but I fell in love with the book tote when I saw it in the Dior store.
Love the all leather bags just clean and simple no glaring logos. To me these type of bags wont look dated.
If they did it in emerald leather I’d already be wearing it. Massive heart eyes.

It doesn’t fit a water bottle and all of my stuff, so in that way it is one of my smaller daily bags (I have a thing where I need to carry water with me), but it’s quite spacious
I honestly love this and only have one Gucci in my collection that I never use anymore because it just doesn’t fit my lifestyle. I wish it could go longer though, not sure how 17″ fits crossbody like the models show. I think this could be a very popular bag for quite some time.

Since I don’t follow “instagram stars”, “influencers” or “celebrities” IDK who carries what bag, but if I did it wouldn’t matter. If I love and need a bag I buy it. My understanding re: “instagram stars” is that it’s marketing since they may have a million (more or less) followers and the brand gets free advertising for a minimal cost. You or I could do the same and put in the work to become an “instagram star” and get “free bags” and monetary compensation, but I don’t have the time or the interest. Do you?

Love this bag. It gives me Celine vibes minus the price. I am going to wait to see what other colors they come out with. Nevertheless the caramel color is my favorite!
I just bought this bag in black and am in love! It ticks a lot of boxes for me – comfortable shoulder strap, not covered in logos, clean lines, easy to get in and out of (no complicated hardware), can dress it up or down. I do wish the interior had a bit more space, but it still holds everything I need. I think it is a style that will go the distance and not look dated anytime soon.
