And just like that, another December is fast approaching. I’m truly not ready for the holidays to be here just yet, but they’re coming whether I like it or not. The holiday season means family gatherings, catching up with friends, shopping for gifts, and much more.
And while the season brings copious amounts of joy (and sweets!), it also means a fair amount of stress. I don’t know about you, but my favorite way to destress is to mindlessly daydream, and because I’m a fashion lover, I’m often daydreaming about outfits I want to wear or items I want to add to my closet!
That being said, I’ve always got a running list of things I’m lusting after, and despite the fact that I’m not quite ready for the holidays to be here, what I am ready to do is daydream somewhere about the things I’d love to find under the tree this year!
So, I’m here with my annual holiday wishlist without further ado! What’s on yours?
Wishing and Hoping
This should come as a shock to absolutely no one, but I will talk about this bag until it is in my hands. The crystal Gucci Jackie has completely stolen my heart to the point where I’ve actually dreamt about it. Something about it is so special, and when I saw it featured in Gucci’s holiday campaign, I was reminded, once again, that I must own it.
Practical yet fashionable, a Loewe scarf is an absolute must. I bought one in a striped blue, brown, and grey version last year, but I’d like to add a solid neutral to my rotation to wear with all my jackets. This grey is perfect.
I love dressing up, but I’m often dressed down because I work from home. Add to it that I’m a runner. My days are often spent in leggings or workout gear that I try to elevate with casual pieces that are also fun. This Nike Bomber fits the bill.
I have this sweater in black, and I’m not exaggerating when I tell you that I’ve worn it 6 times in the 3 weeks since I got it.
Last winter, our friends at Celine gifted me a candle that I am entirely obsessed with. Unfortunately, I discovered that scent is not also available as part of its perfume line, but this scent is the closest one. I almost bought it in Paris, and I’m kicking myself that I didn’t.
When it comes to dressing up, my spring and summer shoe game is strong, but my fall/winter rotation is lacking. I’ve been wearing the same booties for the last 3 years, and it’s time to add an OTK option to my rotation. These will go with EVERYTHING.
I have a lot of slim profile bags that I use regularly and only one card case. I’m obsessed with this silver version, which is fun but can also act like a neutral, so it will go with pretty much all of my bags.
This is not a need but a MUST. I started using the Dennis Gross peel pads this fall, which are life-changing. I’ve never had incredibly problematic skin, but I do suffer from the occasional breakout, and I’ve seen a real different in my skin’s radiance. I’d like to add more of his products to my rotation, and this seems like a good place to start.
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen me post about Only Hearts before. The small, New York-based brand was founded in 1978, revolutionizing the lingerie world with its inner outerwear pieces.
I’ve developed a personal relationship with the brand, which sustainably manufactures in small batches right here in New York. I was getting dressed last week and looking for a long-sleeved black mesh top, which I then realized I don’t own. This cardi is exactly what I was envisioning.
In true me form, I refuse to subscribe to the Adidas narrative since everyone and their mamma owns a pair. However, this collaboration with Wales Bonner is different enough to make me go back on my word. I looked at them once, and they’ve been stalking me ever since.
This, I just want. It’s fun, and it’s Prada Nylon. Enough said.
I really, REALLY hope none of my friends are looking at this because they will say, “Kaitlin, you DO NOT need another coat.” Truthfully, they’d be right, but I love a winter white look, and this coat is perfect to wear dressed up or down.
There’s an Adidas narrative? I own probably 8 (maybe more) pairs of Adidas. I wear the gear including Stella McCartney x Adidas. I don’t like the inconsistency of Nike sizing, and I find them uncomfortable. I threw out my last pair of Nikes about a year ago.
My wishlist includes a $1000 gift card for groceries (LOL!), a trip to either Italy or Greece, a medium Lady Dior, and an All Saints leather biker jacket.
This year, my wish list is 100% experiences! It’s all travel and we are super excited to be taking 4 international trips next year. Even though I still enjoy looking at bags and fashion, I losing interest in buying stuff. My closets are full of beautiful things! Why add more when I could be flying to my next adventure across the world? Life is too short!
Love to see only hearts featured here! I remember being obsessed with their UWS boutique back in college and I still treasure the heart themed trinkets and housewares I got from them, but I also adore their lingerie!
