Colorblocking continues with the Salvatore Ferragamo Sofia

Colorblocking may feel like its reached its peak as a trend, but don’t be fooled, it’s not going anywhere. I’ve been a longtime fan of the Salvatore Ferragamo Sofia Satchel, and this season the brand spiced up the classic by adding vibrant colors to different panels. I adore the color combination Ferragamo chose, with the front showing a creamy rouge hue and orange and the sides featuring a creamy neutral hue.

I own a version of this Ferragamo, bag and it is just the right size while also being highly functional. There is a very subtle beauty to every aspect of the bag, from the golden hardware at just the right spots to the flap top. The only thing I’d love to see different is suede lining in place of nylon jacquard that’s currently used. Otherwise, this bag is perfect in my books, and I can’t help but love the way this colorblocked version brings the classic to life a bit more. Shop via Neiman Marcus for $2,500.

It’s lovely but I can’t help making comparisons to Celine’s trapeze. No one is original after its arrival anymore

The Sofia actually predates the Trapeze, but I do admit it looks like Ferragamo has winged out the sides a bit more to pick up on this trend. Too bad…I think with the sides in, it looks more classicly triangular like a Kelly. Either way, a stunning and practical bag!

Not bad at all.
