Loving Lately: The Fendi Runaway Logo Bag

Arguably one of the biggest trends of the moment, we've got logo love for this Fendi Bag

It’s no secret that logo bags are everywhere this year, and if there’s one designer in particular that has really embraced the logo trend, it’s Fendi. For Spring 2018 and beyond, Fendi’s recent collections have relied heavily on the use of its well-known ‘F’ logo. From its reivented logo hardware to its all-over logo bags, almost all of Fendi’s bags these days are, well, distinctively Fendi. The logo trend makes me nostalgic for the days when I first started lusting after designer bags. It was back in the early 2000s—the days of the Coach craze and the Louis Vuitton logo love—that I really became obsessed with bags. Thus, I am all for the resurgence of the logo love. Most of the logo bags I love these days are on the smaller side and good for evening or day-to-night use. However, I finally fell for a logo bag that would make a great day bag. PurseBloggers, meet The Fendi Runaway Logo Bag.

While the Runaway bag makes a great day bag, it’s not overly large and it’s structured so that it doesn’t look droopy, even if its not completely stuffed. I’m so used to carrying a minimal amount of stuff these days, that I find myself stumped at times when loading up my bigger bags. When I broke out my Speedy 30 in Damier Azur for the spring and summer season, I started carrying around two pairs of sunglasses so that my bag didn’t look so empty and shapeless! I love that this bag holds its shape even when it’s not totally full.

This bag features a removable top handle with contrasting ‘F’ logo hardware, as well as a removable and adjustable shoulder strap. On the front of the bag there is a zippered pocket, and I love the contrasting red stitching. While the bag does not have a top zip—the one downside that I found—it does have a magnetic button closure. The interior is lined in fabric and has one zippered pocket, as well as two slit pockets—great for storing a phone or other small items. Overall dimensions of the small Runaway Bag are 11.5″L x 8.5″W x 5″D. Inside, I carried a water bottle with a portable protein packet, a small notebook, sunglasses, my zip-around wallet, a cosmetic case, and, of course, my phone. I still had room to spare, so this bag is definitely a really great size without being too oversized. The Fendi Runaway Logo Bag is Available for pre-order via Fendi for $2,790.

A nice bag — for many of the reasons described above — but I am a little disappointed by the magnetic closure. Those aren’t very secure. I wish it had been something a little tougher for pickpockets to sneak into. I do like that the interior zipped pocket looks big enough to take a full sized wallet; too many bags, even larger bags, have zipped pockets only big enough for a compact wallet, if that.

I do agree with the closure. Living in a big city you really pay attention to these things more and more.

It’s okay. It’s not particularly special at first glance.

The inclusion of BOTH gold and silver “F” hardware on the handle attachment is…interesting but growing on me.

The leather looks stiff and hardy, which I like. Fendi’s interpretation of the leather monogram print is quite well done and versatile!

I love the mixed hardware! The bag is structured, and while the leather is sturdy it still has a really nice hand, overall really nice quality bag.

Lovely bag – but I just can’t do the mixed colored hardware. It’s hard enough not to match what I’m wearing but when they toss in both – I just don’t know what to wear with it! I do love FENDI!!

Ha! This is the reason why I do LOVE it! I always mix! Did you catch my post about matching your bags hardware to your jewelry? The responses are mixed! https://www.purseblog.com/purseblog-asks/purseblog-asks-do-you-match-your-bags-hardware-to-your-jewelry/

I love it. If no one had not said anything, I would have thought that it was just a cool pattern.

Love it ?

I like the gold and silver hardware, this bag is really quite nice. The pop of red is a great touch. I am not sure I would purchase the bag, I try and stick with proven bags, classic peices.

I’m not a logo type, but this has definitely grabbed my attention. I think as far as logos go, this is a bit more understated than others which I prefer. A Fendi bag is always top quality as well.

I get the feeling soon all bags will have logos on them and I will be forced to carry by belongings in a shopping bag….with a “Trader Joe’s” logo on it!! Aaaahhhhhh!

Saw this in a 2-tone non-logo the other day and it’s beautiful.
