The 20 Best Bags of the Fall 2019 Runway Shows

Is the logo trend on its way out?

If you really hate the logo trend that’s plagued the bags of fashion week for the last few seasons than you’re in for a treat with Fall 2019’s bags. Though logos were present, at least in part, in most collections, it seems that not every brand is making logos the sole focal point of its collection for Fall 2019. This was refreshing to many, myself included. Though I’m not afraid to say I love a good logo, I’m also getting to a point of wanting a bit more variety in my collection. The Fall 2019 collections did not disappoint, and notable standouts included Givenchy, Fendi and Loewe.

Mini bags were still present on the runways during fashion month, however brands have also begun to embrace bags that are a bit bigger, hinting that the mini bag trend may not be as big in the seasons to come. Top handle bags were also a noticeable trend on the runways. Another obvious trend was the move towards minimalism, hinting that big time designers are being influenced by off-beat indie bag brands more and more. Check out our favorite picks from the runways of fashion month below.

Fendi and Gucci are speaking to me again. And what they are saying is gonna empty my bank account.

I miss #oldceline

Melody

Agreed! The new designer, his name currently escapes me, has ruined Celine. Also, the new bags are cost prohibitive!

Heather Tweedy

I’m pretty fond of Chloe bringing back the padlock. Loved everything that CWK is doing at Givenchy.

Nothing appeals to me. The Mansur Gavriel bag looks like a 1970’s punching bag (can’t remember the proper name).

Bryan Lepe

I believe #5 is a cover for the Peekaboo like the defender was.

Ruth Anzalone

Whoa, I think you may be right. But it does have more of a bag look. I love it.

Bryan Lepe

I saw a few YouTubers making the defender covers into bags lol. Not into it. At all. I think this would be a cumbersome cover, every time you open it, you have to lift it over the handle and then put it through when you go to close it. Weird concept.

Kaye

What is a defender?

Bryan Lepe

The cover for the Peekaboo line.

Fendi really did have a stellar line up this time!

So sad Celine is slowly becoming irrelevant in the handbag world. Their new bags are nothing but hideous. They’re not even featured here.

My god I’m sooooo beyond fed up with Gucci and Fendi… ?? They are so TACKY with all the logos!!! They won’t even be relevant in a year from now once this horrific logomania trend subsides. Feature bags that are trendy AND classic. It’s always the same bunch on here lately and it’s so sad. Purseblog isn’t what it used to be 4-5 years ago.

Chloe

Do you think that Chanel and Dior are a little too logo happy?

Candee

I really like #17, but would the lock need to be unlocked and locked every time it is opened and closed?

That Fendi in #6!!!???
