We’re throwing it back today with a PurseBlog original and a look at some of the wildest, most expensive bags available online right now. We used to do this series a couple of times a year, but it’s been a while since we did one. Things have evolved since we last covered a batch of exotics.
The debate on them continues, but that’s a story for another day.
The market has definitely changed, and in my search, I found a couple of bags we’ve previously covered before still for sale! Like this Crocodile Capucines BB, we covered back in 2018. Additionally, brands like The Row, which used to offer many exotics, are now only popping up on resale sites.
While this certainly points to the fact that consumer demand for exotics (excluding that of Hermès) is declining. Still, we found a few bags for your viewing pleasure, and they certainly do wow. Another change is that certain retailers no longer allow you to purchase the exotics online.
Rather, if you’re purchasing skins from Bottega Veneta or Louis Vuitton, you must locate the item in-store. Buckle up for a fresh batch of ultra-pricey eye candy below!
Anybody else think croc is kind of ugly?
No but I think the Crocs are underpaid!
The lv steamer is one of the ugliest bags I’ve ever seen and the croc makes it uglier 🐊🐊🐊🐊
The LV City Steamer looks like a Brahmin bag lol. I would not pay $31k for something that people would think I bought for $99 at Macy’s
While shopping at the Gucci store in Lugano, Switzerland, I had an up close and personal look at their Himalayan crocodile Diana bag. Gorgeous, but alas I did not have a spare $55,000 on me and had to make do with a Blondie (aka Disco) bag that cost $53,500 less. 🙂
