Here are four versions (though there are many more, including exotic skin) of the Chanel 2.55 bag. Only 2 are made of the same material, which happens to be jersey, while one other is leather and the last is patent leather. Yes, jersey material, you read that right. If I am buying a 2.55 from Chanel it will be in leather or an exotic skin, but not everyone feels the same way.

My favorite is my classic maxi in the metallic grey lambskin – beautiful!
I grew more fond of this bag with time, I used to hate the very sight of it. Jersey and patent red don’t work for me at all, they somehow look cheap. Dark blue leather looks nice. My personal favorite is beige caviar bag with gold hardware.

Dark blue leather, all the way. And I like the Blue jersey too.
I kind of like the light green jersey, but it would have to be fairly inexpensive (for Chanel at least) for me to even consider buying a non-leather or exotic Chanel (and all of those are way out of my price range anyway.) And even at that, I think I’d rather find a leather bag I loved from another designer than go with jersey from Chanel. But if money were no object, I’d be more than happy to carry it.
I voted for the dark blue leather. But, my favorite is from a couple of season’s ago, a dark purple with silver hardware.
I voted Red Atent, though in reality, I would choose another colored leather. Perhaps one of the metallics. <3
Dark Blue Leather!
I prefer the classic styles in caviar leather – the lambskin sometimes catches my eye, but the caviar looks a bit more polished. And it lasts a heck of a lot longer without all of the babying that lambskin, jersey, or patent take.

I would do the blue jersey because I would feel comfortable using it as a casual yet classic bag. My classic Black Jumbo is great, but not for everyday use.
The red patent one, but with a goldtone hardware please!!
The red one looks very sexy and eye catching. The are three seem flat for my taste, don’t get me wrong, they are beautiful, but they lack character.

Listen to this: I was born in February of 1955- can you think of anyone more deserving of a 2.55? I didn’t think so.

I’d prefer the leather, but might consider the jersey for nostalgic reasons – wasn’t that the material in the original version of this bag?

i love the red… but the blue looks very classy too. If i ever have enough money, i’d take both. Jersey doesn’t work for me, although i really like the green color. (fb)

i like the GREEN JERSEY… though not as glam-looking as the others. And it sort of go in trend with the current movement of being green, coming out of recession..

Im not big fan of the 2.55, prefer the classics more.
But out of all the Blue Leather is gorgeous, looks rich.
Red makes it look cheap/fake.
Blue jersey is also not so bad.
Have to choose the dark blue leather – timeless material and color for me !
I vote Chanel Red Patent Leather for it fits for all seasons occasion.

I voted for the red patent, I have a red patent bag from another brand that I love. I’m also really, really liking that blue leather and kind of like the green jersey as well. The blue jersey does nothing for me, though. Reminds me of jeans and I’ll keep those on my legs, thank you.
i voted for the dark blue leather but i wouldn’t go out of my way to purchase one. i don’t like the lock– it doesn’t have the signature chanel logo- and the strap is ugly.
the chanel logo and the shoulder strap are what makes it recognizable as CHANEL– without these, it looks like any other ordinary bag.
I didn’t like any of the bags. The colours were drab. I much prefer the classic Chanel-bags. Some bags can do weird colours, but not the classic 2.55.

Prices of this bags are insane, I know some of them are cute but I rather donate that sum of money to a reputable foundation.
