Chanel‘s handbag lookbooks are always fun; they usually contain 35 to 45 bags, ranging from casual looks like denim or canvas to eye-popping exotics and pieces that feature heavy beading or embroidery, all of which give Chanel fans a very good idea of the full lines they’ll find in stores. For Pre-Collection Fall 2016, Chanel has been even more generous: its just-launched lookbook features 64 brand new bags.
In this collection, there aren’t any heavy pop cultural influences, as has been common in seasonal Chanel collections of the recent past. Instead, Karl Lagerfeld and his accessories team went back to basics, with rich tweeds, quilted leather and embellished python. Every couple of years, it’s nice to have a Chanel collection whose only theme is Chanel.

I like numbers 4, 29, and 34.
Number four is gorgeous and perfect for a night out.
I like the color and hardware combination of number 29. It has a very vintage feel to it.
The clutch in picture 34 is a classic.
Other than that, most are just the same old, same old just with embellishments. Although the shopping bags are cool.
Love #4, 13, 25 and 56. it’s nice to see a classic collection again!

I got my first Chanel at 38yrs old and have been buying them every since as special gifts for myself e.g., Christmas or birthday. Definitely go in and look and spot the one that catches your eye so you have something to look forward to.
I got my first at 42. I love it!! It makes it all worthwhile. I went for a classic black flap with thick silver chain on it. Quite industrial looking. Go in for a look, the staff are lovely.
I REALLY REALLY like the Chanel backpacks. I know if I bought a flap bag I would never use it except when I went somewhere really nice. I think I’m saving for a backpack as of right now. LOL

I saw some of these in the boutique yesterday. The tweed boy bags and shearling bags were especially cute! I purchased a silver chevron boy bag in caviar leather that the SA said was pre-fall but I haven’t seen it anywhere online.
