Although we focus our attention mostly on handbags around here, that’s just scratching the surface of the accessories and leather goods that most big designers release in a given season. Wallets and small leather goods don’t get as much glory, but they can be just as much fun, on top of being just as functionally important in daily life. Luckily, a couple brands put out lookbooks of their accessories along with their handbags, and today we’re here to talk about Céline‘s Summer 2017 wallets, accessories and small leather goods.
We looked at Céline’s extensive Summer 2017 bag lookbook last week, and the accessories line up largely along the same lines. There isn’t much in the way of brand new designs, but the collection serves up plenty of old favorites in new colorways and leathers, including a couple lovely lizard pieces. About half of the designs included pricing info, which we’ve added below where available.

I didn’t realize that Celine was so pricey. They’re on par with Chanel. Maybe a bit more.

I like Celine bags but SLGs don’t appeal to me.

I had always loved handbags and for years as first a college student and then a law student and then a cash-strapped young clerk and then associate, I admired luxury handbags from a distance. What finally prompted me to take the plunge (besides finally achieving enough success to have excess disposable income) was my obsession with Celine bags. At one point, I owned a black mini luggage, a burgundy trapeze and an antique blue phantom. I sold them all and don’t miss them in the least. I never even look at Celine bags now. Something about Celine’s aesthetic, to me, hasn’t been aging well. I think its bags look quickly dated. (Except the classic box bag. That one is still high on my wishlist.)
