When Michael Rider took the helm at Celine, his debut signaled the start of a new era. From the start, he reimagined the house’s storied DNA through a modern lens, introducing a refreshed vision of the brand.

The result marries Rider’s distinct design perspective with Celine’s heritage codes—and with it, a new wave of devotees. The latest style star spotted carrying the house’s newest designs has us completely hooked.

Rihanna Meets Rider’s Celine

Fellow handbag lover Rihanna boasts one of the most coveted and diverse collections we’ve ever seen. It’s one we’ve followed closely over the years—and for good reason. What continues to stand out isn’t just what she wears, but how she wears it.

Her clothes don’t wear her; she wears them. Whether in loud logos or understated staples, bold colors or neutrals, every look feels unmistakably her. That same energy defines her latest outfit—simple, chic, and undeniably Riri.

Taking a cue from longtime partner A$AP Rocky—one of the first to debut Rider’s new Luggage bag late last year—Rihanna stepped out in Paris carrying a fresh piece from the house. For a casual shopping trip, she paired a black leather bomber by Willy Chavarria with a hoodie, split-seam leggings, ballet flats, and the star of the show: Celine’s Doctor’s Pouch.

Debuted for Summer 2026, the Doctor’s Pouch is poised to be a key silhouette this year. It blends the timeless appeal of a structured frame with the ease of a soft-bodied pouch—and if we weren’t already obsessed, this seals it.

I have a really hard time accepting a celebrity choosing and wearing a designer bag knowing that they are probably getting paid to do so and that outside of the photograph, there’s a good chance that bag gets handed off to an assistant. I’d like to see a spontaneous photograph on more than one occasion wearing the same bag before I will believe it’s their favorite one. Kim Kardashian gets paid $1 million to promote any product on Instagram that in all likelihood you’ll never see her be part of again. It’s kind of wrecked it for me. Bethenny Frankel promotes products every day and sometimes two or three of the same type from different companies in the same month.
