Emmy Rossum has one of the most distinctive personal styles in Hollywood, mostly because it’s so not Hollywood. She dresses like millions of American women with more traditional, less trendy personal tastes aspire to dress in their everyday lives: classic, ladylike, slightly conservative. More often that not, she’s adding a Ralph Lauren Ricky Bag of one type or another to those outfits.

Emmy has had a relationship with Ralph Lauren since she rose to fame after a turn in Phantom of the Opera, and it’s not hard to see why the brand took an interest in her. Her natural impulse is toward the kind of traditional American style that Lauren is known for, and she always looks well put-together in a way that a lot of women aspire toward.

The Ricky is Ralph Lauren’s best-known bag, and it comes in lots of different sizes, colors and structures. The two found on Emmy’s arms most often are the classic Ricky and the slightly more casual Soft Ricky. We’ve identified several in her collection below that she’s carried over the past couple months, including a pricey alligator version; take a look, and if one strikes your fancy, you can shop the bags at both Neiman Marcus and Ralph Lauren, starting at $2,500.

I like that she generally wears flats instead of sky high heels!

The Ricky is an OK bag but the hardware’s definitely not up to the job compared to other similar brands

We get it, she is pretty and has a deal w RL, but why do u have to keep profiling this at best mediocre bag? Just because its an American designer?

I like her personal style. It feels natural and unpretentious. The Ricky is nice but too expensive when you can buy other bags for the same price.

I agree. Unless it has superior construction or superior materials, for that price I have choices. I’ll go with a “bigger” name.
I like the way she dresses. Looks like a normal person. Looks like she dresses herself.

I feel like if RL had been patient with their price increase and waited a bit more, more people would have jumped on the RL wagon and with more popularity it would’ve elevated the brand; which in turn would have justified price increases.
Theyre trying to follow the premier designer crowd a bit to closely, they need to give it some room to breathe and evolve into the premier brand it can be.
Love their stuff but its still a bit too high a price point for me.

I absolutely love her Blue and the White ones.
I have always admired that bag but I agree, it is way over priced. I would buy it if it were around half the retail price.

YES! I love this bag but it is soooo overpriced. It’s just not worth it. If they knocked it down by half, I’d grab one.
