Yesterday, Joan Rivers had to thwart throngs of adoring fans (or at least one very adoring fan) to make it to the set of Extra at The Grove in Los Angeles to promote her new live stand-up comedy DVD, Joan Rivers: Don’t Start With Me. You’ll see she’s packing her requisite fur coat (mink or sable, we suspect), and a stylish, black Chanel Cerf Tote. (Chanel bags are sold at Chanel boutiques and fine department stores nationwide – but never online, sadly, unless you’re shopping secondhand.)
Does it seem odd that the great Joan Rivers, impresario of the E! network and one of the greatest comics of all time, would make an appearance on a syndicated entertainment news show? We know Joan isn’t averse to any type of publicity, but would you all just buy a copy of Joan’s DVD so she can retire already? Not that I don’t love me some Fashion Police, but Ms. Rivers will turn 80 this year! (Which reminds me, I need to add that documentary, Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work, to my Netflix queue.)
Did anyone notice the gal behind her and then talking to her with the papers (maybe a assistant) is carrying a Birkin!!!

@handbags lover … its her assistant of more than 20 years. maybe joan rivers pays her good money? or joan may have gifted it too her since shes been her assistant, joan certainley can afford it
