For those not in the know, Chiara Ferragni is an Italian fashion blogger (The Blonde Salad), author, street style darling and fashion designer with her own line of footwear that we happen to love. In typical fashion blogger…fashion, she also models a bit and lends her fashion cred to other brands when the opportunity is right.
She is a fashionista I greatly admire, and yet, I still had to stop following her on Instagram because she dresses so well/lives so well/travels so well that I was actually starting to resent her. As you can imagine, Chiara gets invited to ALL the fashion weeks, and this year, her shoe game was so distinctive, we simply had to share.
Chanel Stretch Boots
Chiara paired these unassuming suede Chanel boots with a brightly colored Michael Kors sweater dress and 3D patterned Michael Kors coat for the brand’s runway show at NYFW.
Fendi Fur Platform Mules
Shop Fendi Shoes via Saks
She donned these furry Fendi platforms during Milan Fashion Week. They’re from Fendi’s Pre-Fall 2016 collection, and as you’ve probably already noticed because you’re extremely astute, they are modeled after house slippers. Her
Gucci Metallic Pumps
$795 via Gucci
Chiara wore these gorgeous, glittering Guccis to the Giambattista Valli show at Paris Fashion Week. She’s also carrying a Louis Vuitton Petite Malle Clutch and wearing an embossed skirt from Miu Miu.
Gucci Mid-Heel Loafers
$1,100 via Gucci
She also wore these more modest, classically styled Gucci loafers to the Balmain show at PFW. Her jersey-weave orange dress is Balmain, naturally.
Louis Vuitton Samurai Sandals
This is what Chiara wore to the Louis Vuitton show, and as you rightly suspect, everything touching her body is Louis Vuitton. The maison doesn’t always impress in the shoe department, but these platform sandals are pretty solid, from a design standpoint. They’re not what you’d want to wear on a rainy day in Paris, exactly, but they’re solid.
Chloé Lace-Up Boots
Shop Chloé via Neiman Marcus
Chiara donned this boho-inspired Chloé ensemble to the Chloé show at PFW. We’ve never actually seen these witchy, black leather Chloé boots before, but you can find her multicolored Chloé Hudson Fringe Bag for $2,390 at Neiman Marcus.
Miu Miu Platform Mary Janes
Shop Miu Miu via Net-a-Porter
Sometimes Chiara’s looks are a little theme-y. Here she is doing her best “Sexy Continental Vintage Secretary” with an assist from patterned Miu Miu platforms at the Miu Miu runway show in Paris. She’s wearing a full Miu Miu look, complete with pale pink Miu Miu Matelassé Shoulder Bag.
Chiara Ferragni Glitter Snow Boots
I feel like the theme of this NYFW outfit is “Key West Ski Resort.” Those glittery silver snow boots are from her own Chiara Ferrangi line, and will be available next season. She’s also carrying a bright green Chanel Boy Bag and wearing an eye-catching mohair-blend Saint Laurent cardigan that you can acquire for $2,450 at Nordstrom.
Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini Boots
Finally, here’s Chiara making her way to the Elie Saab show at PFW in a lovely pair of black leather Philosophy di Lorenzo boots. Her ethereal white coat is also from the label’s Fall 2016 collection. Strangely enough, she’s not wearing a single stitch of Elie Saab.
I used to love her blog in the early days, not so much anymore. I don’t like her new style
Don’t like a single pair. It all seems a little try hard. Also don’t really know who she is as I live in the UK.
Yes I suppose she’s a ‘fashionista’ in that she’s throwing together some of the moment designer clothes, but I wouldn’t walk out of my house in a single outfit she is wearing in the above pics. She’s way too costume-y for my taste.
I don’t like any outfit that she is wearing in these pictures. Everything is either too costumey or affirmatively unflattering. totally not getting why anyone would think that she dresses so well.
I do love certain pieces, like the Chanel boots and both pair of Gucci shoes.
Too costumi pour moi.
i like the pieces but not all of them together. she’s very bold and i like that she is fearless. some people can pull it off and others can not. i just wouldn’t have the gall to step out like that and i’d probably look like a clown.
Her style to me is just awful…I just can’t take it. It’s like she just put everything together and don’t care. While she is getting more famous, her style is getting worse. I used to like her older style. Doesn’t she know “Less is more!”
Can’t stand her style but love the articles on her blog where she collaborates with Louis Vuitton. The Portofino story was gorgeous.
Oh Chiara. I used to love her style and her blog. Sorry, not anymore. Since she moved to the US, her style has become too costumey. In each of these pictures, she looks like a clown (apart perhaps #4, and even that is not good). And her blog has become… not finding the right word, too fussy? It’s all over the place. It has no direction, no structure. Very much like her style. Sorry, not getting it.
I like that she looks youthful. Almost every famous young woman today dresses like a wealthy 40-50 year old woman with big statement bags and serious, polished, outfits. It’s refreshing to see someone look like they are having fun.
