Sometimes you see all the stars carrying similar bags because a brand just sent out a bunch of free bags, but other times, there’s just an overall mood or trend that makes people reach for similar things at similar times—celebs, after all, are people too, which means they’re vulnerable to the same whims as the rest of us. This week, it seems like the second kind of situation with celebrities; we saw tons of Chanel and Fendi bags around the world, and when you look at the styles, can you really blame any of them for reaching for this particular bags?
Hailey Baldwin
Hailey Baldwin, a paparazzi magnet in her own right, is now officially Justin Bieber’s girlfriend, which makes the hounding even more consistent. Here they are together; she’s carrying a Fendi Peekaboo Bag, which is only the first of the brand’s bags we’ll spot today. Shop the Fendi Peekaboo Bag via Fendi ($3,390)
Heidi Klum
We’ve had some bad weather in New York this week, but Heidi Klum ventured out nonetheless, carrying the saddle version of the Prada Cahier Bag and appearing to keep it mostly dry. Shop Prada Bags via Neiman Marcus
Helena Bordon
We took a full look at which bags celebs carried to couture yesterday, but we found one we missed: Helena Bordon, carrying a pretty turquoise Hermès Kelly Bag.
Kate Moss
In London, Kate Moss attended an Adidas party with a luxurious alligator Chanel Classic Flap Bag, which she’s been favoring lately. Shop Chanel Bags via Vestiaire Collective
Lucy Hale
Out and about in LA doing activities of indeterminate description, Lucy Hale also chose a Chanel Flap Bag. Shop Chanel Bags via Vestiaire Collective
Priyanka Chopra
In New York, Priyanka Chopra set out for JFK in an all-white outfit accented by a lovely, embroidered Fendi Peekaboo Bag. Shop the Fendi Peekaboo Bag via Fendi ($5,900)
Priyanka Chopra
The previous day, she paired a Fendi Runaway Tote with a deep red dress. Nick Jonas was nowhere to be found. Shop the Fendi Runaway Bag via Fendi ($3,190)
Sofia Vergara
Sofia Vergara has been keeping a lower profile with paparazzi recently, but they did spot her shopping for bedding in LA and joining the well-populated Chanel club this week with a big white Chanel Classic Flap Bag. Shop Chanel Bags via Vestiaire Collective
Who the heck is Helena Bordon?
Someones lazy googling:P She’s a fashion blogger, I believe.
“Fashion blogger,” aka rich white woman who doesn’t have to worry about paying bills.
I don’t like to discuss issues like race online and certainly not on a handbag blog, but as someone who spends a great deal of time writing and analyzing word choice and sentence structure, I just want to point out with no judgement that in your comment you defined “fashion blogger” as a “rich white woman…” If you meant to say that THIS particular fashion blogger is a rich white woman, then it’s probably better to say that. (I have no doubt you are aware that fashion bloggers come in all varieties — but you actually wrote the opposite. The right word choice significantly helps the reader to understand what you are trying to say.)
Insert eye roll.
Hilarious. I have some suggestions for where you can insert it.
Give me a minute to freshen up and make sure everything is clean down there. Bring flowers.
You got it. What’s your favorite color? I’m guessing it’s “UPS brown” like those tired LV bags you’re so fond of? (Hmmm,… maybe the florist has something that died…)
Wrong. I am a balding, aging narcissist obsessed with getting photographed wearing clownish MOSCHINO gear for my logo-saturated Instagram account. Twinsies!
We couldn’t possibly be twins. MY parents taught me to love myself.
I am an orphan.
That might explain the bitterness and resentment. But it doesn’t excuse it. And thankfully I can walk away from it. I’m learning to do that more often, especially online. Social media and comment boards might be the place that you feel most powerful and confident, but that’s not the case for me. I do my best work offline, and I’m sorry that my Instagram account is what you’re using to craft a narrative of me. Remember, it’s just a photo album. You’re welcome to look at it to better understand my taste in clothing and how I use it to communicate humor etc. But anything beyond that requires some solid face time. And I probably wouldn’t give you that, because I don’t think you respond well to other people’s happiness. I guess I don’t respond well to other people’s negativity, which is weird because my entire career has been working with and advocating for homeless people, refugees, disaster victims and inner-city youth. Luckily I rarely encounter the kind of misery and powerlessness-fueled aggression that I see play out so frequently online. And since I wouldn’t engage in such behavior in real life, I see no reason for me to continue participating here. But if you ever see me on the street or subway and want to say hi, feel free. Lots of people do it. It’s nice.
Wow – I really hurt your feelings apparently. Wishing you the best!
The exact opposite. No one has that kind of control over my feelings. For you to even think that a comment from a stranger (especially one who did nothing more than state the obvious) could somehow affect my sense of self only shows the fragility of your own identity. Stop your wasting your time this way — it does you no favors.
Racist much? There also black and asian fashion bloggers.
HAHAHA – please tell me you’re not really THIS stupid…
Sorry darling, but you are the stupid one here. I have just written that I find your comment racist. There is no reason for calling me stupid. I guess constructive discussion is not your strong point… There are lots of black and Asian fashion bloggers who don’t have to worry about money. If I wrote something like that, but only about black girls shitstorm would start immediately. You don’t have to agree with me, but at least show it in a respectful way.
You’re making my comment about race when it had nothing to do with that. You know nothing about me so f**k you. SJWs like you are the reason Trump is in the Oval Office. Also you haven’t earned my respect with your lame race attack… as if I needed a desperate Instagram “personality” to teach me lessons about what’s right and what’s wrong… please! Bye!
I don’t have to earn your respect sweetie. Every human being deserves it. Its really funny how angry your responses are. Just sit, drink some tea and calm down. There is no point in being so triggered and nasty. Believe it or not I am not a SJW. Well, you are the SJW sounding one (fashion blogger comment). I thought you were referring to the white privilege thing and that’s why I started this discussion. When I look at it again, I think I may have overanalyzed it a little which still doesn’t justify your behavior.
Btw, if you think that my first comment was an attack… oh boy we have a parable
Good bye!
It’s not easy being M Green.
Please don’t call me “darling” and “sweetie.” I don’t need your condescending ways.
I meant “we have a problem here” sorry!
Priyanka’s red dress is gorgeous. Who makes it.
It’s DVF
Thank you.
Why did we stop the Purseforum Roundup? This was such a great thread. I miss it.
Ok good feedback! I’ll talk to the team to see if we can bring it back!
Pleaseeeee!! That would be fantastic!
I loved it too!
I agree! That was the one feature I always clicked through, got me in trouble too because I would see something I liked and bam–had to have it!
This compilation of “celebs” (some we aren’t even aware of) carrying the same bags over and over–enough! This site has such a huge wealth of material that us REAL (yes we are real) people post–that’s what I want to see and that’s what the roundup was.
I agree! That was an awesome way to look at real people who spend money to get these bags.
I had no idea the jumbo flap’s strap was long enough to wear crossbody
Nice! Love how Sofia rocked the classic look. I have this exact bag but always feel it looks too mature for me to rock. I’m gonna steal her look!
Love the Prada in #2. Who made Hailey’s outfit in #1….?!
I always wonder why they crop the feet all the times. :/
It’s the only way the bag shows off better – you miss the shoes?! We can try to add back 🙂
Anyone knows the brand of Priyanka Chopra’s sunglasses in slide 6 with the white outfit?
The pic composition is great- leaves pattern on the background wall , pale flower print/embroidery on her shirt and the gorgeous floral bag!
Since when is “blogging” exclusive to race? Research and do it well, make it informative, interesting and entertaining and maybe success will follow.
