Pride month kicks off on June 1st in the US. Every June, we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and pay homage to the Stonewall Riots of 1969, which was the beginning of the modern Gay Rights movement. Every year, the community comes together to celebrate, and though many show their pride year-round, it’s during this month in New York that you can expect to see an endless supply of rainbows and the boldest and brightest outfits.
We spent an afternoon roaming around the West Village to see what bags Pride go-ers were carrying as they celebrated the wonderful LGBTQ+ community last month.
