We brought you an in-depth look at Chanel’s Cruise 2016 handbag lookbook last week, but when we got to poking around the brand’s website, we realized that wasn’t the full story. The number of small leather goods, including the popular Wallet on Chain (WOC) bags, the brand includes in the seasonal spotlight fluctuates with each collection, and this time, there were quite a few pieces well worth some attention.
The collection includes several styles of WOC, all of which work as a great entry point for a customer looking to get a piece of Chanel’s signature look at a price a bit below that of a Classic Flap. There are also continental and flap wallets, coin purses, card cases and, unexpectedly enough, two glasses cases. Check out all the Cruise 2016 small leather goods below. Does anyone know whats the difference between wallet ON chain and the wallet WITH chain?
Wallet with chain is a more recent model, where the chain is short but detachable, so you could turn the chain into a wristlet. I also use it as a small shoulder bag in the summer when I’m not wearing a jacket.
The wallet on chain is one with very long non-detachable chain which you can wear cross body, or double or triple-wrap it under the flap to turn the wallet into a small shoulder bag.

Yikes, the patchwork items looks like they’re taking the leftover materials from other bags and making something else with it and hoping some sucker would pay thousands for it.
I do like the new logos for bags 11, 22 and 23.

Every time I browse items from Chanel, I sigh and wish I had more disposable income… It’s truly an aspirational brand for me!
