I tend to be a person who likes things. All sorts of things. I let the things I buy pile up until it’s a tower of things on top of ‘things’. Many of these ‘things’ make their way under the bed, in the closet, in the bathroom, in the den, in the trunk, in the corner, in the guest room, or in the thing pile. This is what I do for a living. I spend my living on collecting things that are impractical and I have no room for. I have yet again found one of those things I could wear a handful of times, which a simple white tank and jeans, and then it would go in my leaning tower of things. Here is the thing about the things I stupidly buy and allow to accumulate; when I buy them I swear I can’t live without them. And here I go again finding another thing that I do not need but I want. I saw this Buti Mirò Multicolor Art Print Leather Compact Buckled Tote and decided I wanted this unmatchable lovely wonder.

Why I fell in love with this bag is simple; it is an amazing and attractive handbag by Buti with a print by Mirò, the famous Catalan surrealist artist. I love the print. It is original and eye-catching. I really do think it would top jeans and a white tank like a jewel in the ocean. The bag is made of blue and white top quality Italian leather. It has a cute little matching Apple-shaped key holder. This is the perfect ‘thing’ of the week. Seriously though, can you not picture how extravagantly beautiful it would be if you carried it with the perfect simple outfit? I’ve been lovin’ my fruit lately. I know it is good for you, and it tastes yummie too. Well why not slab some fruit on a bag? Designer Lauren Tango decided to do just that, and that was a big no-no. This bag looks like something I would have made in pre-k. Beads, yarn, straw, paint, glue, and lots of “project” time. This bag is all wrong. I know all the other designers out there are sticking fruit on their bags, and hey, some of them sure can pull it off. But you, Ms. Lauren Tango, have not been given that gift. The bag is a straw checkered tote bag with an embroidered and beaded grape motif. The red leather double-handles are attached by silver-toned hardware and just lead down to the bulk of the grape vine misery. Lucky for the buyer, the bag also comes with a matching clutch. Just your luck. You know, I can say the bag is not the worst ever. It certainly would be much better without the grape thingie added on. But it really just has too much going on for me. Name that movie: “I love gooooolllldddddd!!!” Ah yes, Austin Powers Goldmember. He said it best. Gold is a color that keeps popping up everywhere. I remember when gold used to be that tacky color old women wore with shiny mirrors and glued on jewels on their not-so-cute-sweater. Ughh. But now gold is the other black. Well, not really, but it sure can’t seem to stop popping up. I happen to love it. Not the bright shiny cheap looking golds, but the more subtly beautiful shimmering golds. What’s all this babble about gold for you may ask? Well the Meli’ Melo’ Foil Leather Square Base Tote of course. Now that name is quite a mouthful but the bag is a beauty. Sometimes you see something funky that just really catches your eye and you seriously can not get over. Well I found it. I’m really still on vacation time at the moment. I have been moving about today like a 3 toed sloth and avoiding anything productive like it is my job. I don’t like laundry, bills, getting my car’s oil changed, thinking about real work, or thinking about not being able to sleep in starting Tuesday. This is why I love this Be & D Soft Python Tote. It really makes me feel as if I’m living in a dream world. Actually, I usually do live in a dream world and I intend to keep it that way, thank you very much! Please, no one bring me back down to earth. I will not appreciate it. Let me just keep gawking over this incredibly supple python skin bag and contemplate on why I never made the NFL and was able to support my bag habit (I’m going to start off with the fact that I’m female, and I would not be good). Damn. I would have loved to find a job like that. So if by any obscure chance some football player reads this and feels bad for me, please feel free to buy me this bag just to show me you care. Back to the beauty of this exotic little number. As many of you know the exotic skins are in. Who doesn’t crave an exotic bag? But then again, not many of us can afford these exorbitant price tags. So for now let us just stare at the monitor and drool. I swear to you that this bag is the supplest of supple python skins I have yet to see. The bag is an apple green washed python skin with a darker green leather trim. The color Be & D has chosen for this bag is so enticing to see on an exotic skin, it just makes me melt. And the lady of the house is back from a mini-vacation. Although I love to be back to my beloved Purse Blog, I’d really rather be vacationing still. Luckily for me, I will be off for another short vacation next weekend. Yes, my life is rough. So coming back and feeling very sluggish is making me want to write a brief post. Sorry to those of you who enjoy my typical tangents. I have always been quite torn between to love or not to love Dooney & Bourke. But I do know that I love their All Weather Leather line. It is simple enough to meet many people’s fancies. My favorite for the moment is the shape and simplicity of the Dooney & Bourke East/West Tassel Tote. The bag has one inside zip pocket, a cell phone pocket, an inside key hook, is lined, and has protective feet. Since I know all ladies like a different cup of tea per se, this bag offers all of us a multitude of colors to choose from. For your own personal reference here is the list of colors offered: Aegean blue, black, bone, mint, navy, palomino, powder blue, red, and saddle. Whew. This fabulous tote deserves its very own, full sized picture. The lady of the house is out on a family weekend for July 4th, and I feel like going a little crazy (being all alone in charge and such). But all jokes aside, this bag deserves the big picture. Such a tremendously beautiful, clean Guinevere tote that Marc Jacobs created for this fall season! Made of taupe leather and adorned with polished silver metal hardware, it is the mirror accents that give the tote a special twist. I love a good black bag. It’s like the little black dress in the closet every girl must have. And I love Dior. It is high end fashion that intertwines style and elegance. This is why I am in absolute love with the Dior Cannage Tote. Apparently Dior has used the cannage stitching previously, and they have revisited the past to bring the gorgeous style to the alluring present. I see this bag being perfect for the in-style working girl or the shopper or just anyone! It is black and can be used for just about anything.

The tote is made of smooth leather and shows off the Dior cannage-stitching on front and back. The handles are made of rolled leather and feature polished silver metal “D” charms which adds a little bling to the black classic look of the tote. I really think it would be cool to live in London. Back on topic, I kept seeing bags designed by My Flat In London and I have been intrigued to say the least. Over the weekend while doing what I do best, shopping, I ran into more of these bags and just couldn’t help give them some attention. I’m particularly drawn to the My Flat In London Mini Pug Tote because I’m a sucker for puppies. This pug outline actually reminds me somewhat of a Bulldog, and those are my absolute favs! This bag is uniquely different and because of that I am sure many of you readers may enjoy it. Made of quilted nylon, featuring a purple leather pug, and being groomed with ribbons and crystal detail makes this cute little bag an accessory must have in your collection. I have been on the hunt for a larger not exorbitantly priced bag, and today I have found it. The DKNY Antique Calf Stud Shopper combines sexy studs and supple calfskin. My favorite part of the bag is it costs under $300 and still has the look of the Be & D style eyelit hardware and funky flap pockets at the corners of the shopper. The bag is lined with a cotton lining and the rest of the bag shows off brushed silver-tone hardware. As far as storage goes there is one outside zip pocket, multiple magnetic flap pockets outside, two interior zip pockets, and last but not least two open pockets that are about the size to fit a cell phone.
