The only thing that I keep seeing when I look at the Botkier Addison Croc Satchel is a belt. I can’t quite get passed how the shoulder straps wrap around the bag as if the straps are going in and out of belt loops. Is it just me or do you see it too? Perhaps the bigger issue is the contrasting taupe croc-embossed leather and dark brown leather trim. For some reason, I am disappointed with this bag and I can’t seem to move on.

Well, that’s not entirely true. I actually can see what the folks at Botkier were thinking when designing this satchel. The classic shape is one that I always appreciate. In fact, I don’t even really have a problem with decision of using taupe croc-embossed leather. However, the overall look of this bag is, unfortunately, off. Buy through Bergdorf Goodman for $450.

Now this bag is on sale, but it’s still not worth it. In person it feels stiff and weird. I love Botkier, but this bag is a flop.
I actually have the large version of this bag, in both this taupe combo, and an AMAZING shimmery black version. The black is 1000% superior in quality and look. (If you havent seen it look it up!)
I will say the straps and “Belts” are very cheap leather compared to the body of the bag… But I think maybe they were going for the hard agains soft and slouchy look, as if the soft body leather was being harnessed in by the stiff outline of the straps.
All I can say is this bag is perfect for winter weather, it can be worn cross body! Its actually a really great designed bag!
