PB: Have you ever thought of doing exotics?
RM: Yes, but only for clutches. I have been trying to do it for this coming holiday. I am still researching it. Probably eel, stingray, and baby hair calf.
PB: When is your small line of leather goods coming out?
RM: We are showing them during May market, so they will be coming out for Holiday/Resort. There are going to be three wallets; one that corresponds to the Morning After Bag, one that corresponds to the French Tote, and one that is a play on my Eco-friendly bag. In addition to that, there will be three sizes of pouches for the girl that likes extra compartments to throw in her bag.
PB: Are you considering adding a messenger bag?
RM: That comes in June and it is the Duo.
PB: Many would love longer straps so the bag can fit if they are wearing a coat.
RM: We just sampled longer straps on the MAB and it didn’t work, it was just funny. So I came up with the MAB lux which is an updated version of the Morning After Bag with longer straps.
PB: Does your hardware tarnish?
RM: The new hardware has been tested against the most abrasive acidic leathers and it passed. If it does tarnish we will replace it, but it should not tarnish.
PB: So many love the Emerald color. Is that coming back?
RM: Yep! There it is (pointing to it on a Nikki) and it is back for fall. It will ship in August and is the original Emerald.
Well-done! I love how you guys got to go to the ‘factory’ and see things made. I have a new appreciation for my MAMs - I truly feel like I’m carrying something very very unique, well-made, and special. Glad tPF was on the ground floor, so to speak!!!

I certainly wasn’t expecting to see a Preview of the Fall collection but am oh so glad that I did.
It gives me time to figure out how I’m gonna add a bag or two to my ever growing collection. The bags were simply GORGEOUS!!
The factory pictures were awesome as well. When I saw the bags stacked up in the factory my first thought was “HEY those a RM bags, they should be handled with care” LOL. The final pic with all the spring colors (turquoise, yellow, pink) leather piled up—such vibrant colors. I have totally fallen in love all over again!!!!
