After a short hiatus from posting, I am back in action. I was a bit overwhelmed with my life, work, and just stress in general. So I took off a few days, did some shopping, went too the spa (twice!), and even managed to nap a few times. Now that I am refreshed and rejuvenated you have to put up with me again. Let’s all thank Vlad for his attempt to run things for a few days… THANKS! So now Vlad is off skiing in the Alps, yes he lives a tough life, and I’m back to indulge myself and you all in some gorgeous bags. This week is dedicated to new designers and we will be throwing in yet another contest with 2 prizes!! Mixing in with some of the usual, there will be some very new. Get ready for a great week

Best way to start off is with a beautiful Louis Vuitton bag. I am a sucker for LV totes more so than most of their other shapes. I don’t quite know why, but I am. The new Louis Vuitton Saleya MM implements a classy touch to a bag that can be used for work, everyday, or play. Personally, I find this bag to be the perfect work bag. Large enough to fit folders, papers, magazines, and possibly even your lap top, this tote screams out ‘buy me because you will surely use me’ (overall dimensions 17.7″ L x 11″ H x 7.8″ W). This Damier canvas tote is finished off with smooth dark chocolate leather trim, rolled leather straps, and is accented with La Rounded golden links. What I love even more is the red microfiber lining with an interior patch and cell phone pocket and the zip closure. Zip this baby up and get on the go without worrying about losing some important goods. I think I am in love. I have been itching for a new tote and LV has just made its way to my heart quite nicely. The price is also not that bad, all things considered. Let me put it this way; I bought a Wapity which holds keys, 2 CC’s, my ID, cell phone, small lip gloss for around $300. We had reported about the new Louis Vuitton Monogram Charms a few months ago, when the collection first hit the Parisian stage. Finally, the first bags start hitting the shelves and the Purse Blog is on it! Introducing the new Monogram, the new Louis Vuitton Musette comes along and pleases us with what appears to be a hit for Spring/Summer of ‘06. I am not a big fan of the classis Monogram Canvas myself, but I must say that I really dig this variety.

The handbag sports luxurious silk with a vibrant charm bracelet print and is covered with a modern vinyl coating for protection. Tanned calf leather trim adds a vintage-like touch. The Musette is finished with a top flap and signature padlock. This new Louis Vuitton handbag measures 12.8″ x 13.4″ x 3.5″ and goes for a steep $2,140.00 via eLuxury. Many of you certainly know, but there is some that may not. eLuxury is the only store that is allowed to sell authentic Louis Vuitton merchandise on the web. What does that mean for all 3 million other stores that claim real LV for cheap? Be very cautious. You know those weeks where you are just so far behind you can barely handle it. Well let’s just say that the past 2 months have been that way for me! Yes, I know, I am being a bit dramatic but it surely has been really busy lately for me. Although I may be busy, I always have time for the bags. For Spring 2006 there is a new look by Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton. Let’s welcome the Louis Vuitton Pochette Accessoires which shows off the hip and trendy perforated monogram canvas with kidskin trim. The funky part of this bag is the front perforated flat pocket with fuchsia colored microfiber lining. As a side note, do any of you own microfiber? I fell in love with a microfiber couch and can not stop raving about microfiber! Back to the bag, there is a removable leather strap, golden brass hardware, a signature padlock and rivets on the front, and the bag finishes off with microfiber lining and a flat pocket. This cute little perforated accessory measures 8.5″ x 5.1″ x 2″ and is available through eLuxury for $540.

While sometimes I can go on talking about a bag forever, some bags do leave me speechless. Louis Vuitton wanted to welcome Fall 2006 with some big furry bags with the Multicolore Monogram Print supersized. All I can say is I would love to see someone try to make a knock-off of this furry wonder. Ha

>While I do not talk about Louis Vuitton all that often, the past day or so I have been on LV overload. The main reason is because I have my mind set on a Wapity and I finally ordered it! I have been realizing that I need the perfect small accessory to take with me when I go out at night to a bar or dancing, and why not let it be Louis Vuitton. But on my fix of LV I ran into the Louis Vuitton Berlingot. Someone please help me ID the kind of icey that it resembles. Remember when the ice cream truck used to come through your neighborhood (I know those were the olden days) and there was a Popsicle like icey that came in a case just like this. I always got it and you had to cut the top off. Ok that rant had nothing to do with this accessory. So back to the accessory. The piece is actually named after a candy from Carpentras and is made with the Monogram Multicolore canvas with natural cowhide trim. Take a guess at who designed this little number? None other than Takashi Murakami who is known to make some funky creations for Louis Vuitton masterminded this piece. Other features include shiny golden brass hardware, microfiber lining, and the key holder tucks away into a zipped compartment. Overall this fun shape measures 3.3″ L 4.7″ H x 3.3″ W. Just because it reminds me of running to catch the ice cream truck way back when, I am giving this cute accessory thumbs up. Buy it through eLuxury for $235.

I want a Wapity!!!! Last night I was spending some much needed time on the lovely Purse Forum and ran into some posts about the Wapity and got my mind completely and totally set on it. I am so set on it, that I have been imagining how well it will work for when I go out. The Louis Vuitton Wapity Case is made with the Monogram canvas with natural cowhide trim and is accented with golden brass hardware. Perfectly for nights on the town, there is a natural wrist strap with yellow topstitching and a golden LV rivet. I have been looking for the perfect accessory for a night out dancing, would this be it?? The interior has a patch pocket and raspberry alcantara lining. Overall the Wapity, which is my new favorite word to say, measures 4.3″ x 3″ x 1.7″. Someone please tell me you have this and let me know if it can hold the necessities I need to have with me at all times (pics would be ohh so helpful)!!!! Buy it via eLuxury for $255.

Personally, I despise smoking. Most of that may be because it makes my clothes reek and I can not breathe when I am around it. I am an asthmatic so smoking is the last thing on my mind. But by golly if you are going to smoke, at least carry your ciggs in style! For yet another Pointless Post, I bring you the Louis Vuitton Cigarette Case. Seriously how much more chic could you be? Why not whip out your cig from the classic LV Monogram canvas with coordinating brown leather lining and a flap closure. If I were to buy this case, I would stick some of those pieces of gum made to look like cigarettes in it right in there. Ha. Measuring 2.5″ L x 4.5″ H, this elegant accessory would make the people at Truth just squirm. But whatever floats your boat. Buy it through eLuxury for $165.

While I was tweaking the blog tonight, I noticed that the Briefcases catagory has collected some dust in the past months. Strange actually, for there is so many elegant and chic briefcases to talk about. I figured I might as well freshen things up. And why not go all out with my favorite of all, the Louis Vuitton Ambassador Briefcase. I want it, now. Worked in LV’s textured Epi leather, it truely does not even need an LV logo at all. It features a classic s-locl closure and a lined interior with pockets for cell, wallet and miscellaneous other accessories. An exterior back pockets rounds of the 16 by 12 inch briefcase. How very lovely, once I get done with my grad studies, I sure know what I’ll be sporting to work. At a price of over $1,800, I better start saving already. via eLuxury.

If men in this world only realized how sexy it is to carry a sleek designer bag, they may begin to understand us a little better. I find that men don’t want to give off the un-manly vibe, but that doesn’t mean that matching and looking good makes you un-manly? I don’t need a man who wears stripes and checks all at once (cough cough I won’t want to pick on anyone- but a certain someone whose name starts with a V and ends with a lad did that to me about 2 years ago and I nearly got rid of him then!! ) I know you all agree with me that a first impression lasts forever in your mind, and you know you want that guy that is dressed nicely. Even more so this impression lasts in the workplace. If you are going for an interview you know to mind your P’s and Q’s and dress to impress. So for the small amount of men that are out there reading this, do us all a favor and keep in mind that a) we like when you dress nice and b) you are allowed to wear a nice bag and still be considered manly!

What I have in mind for the men who do care to impress us and the work force is the Louis Vuitton Kasbek PM. This tote bag for men is made from both grained Taïga and smooth leather. What do Louis Vuitton indulge us with for Spring of 06? A new chain-link pattern canvas (which I feel like we’re gonna see a whole lot of designs with in the near future, so better get used to it), heaps of quilted silk and some really funky designs. Enough of the words already, here cometh the imagery!
