Judith Leiber Houston Semiprecious Beaded Clutch, $4995 via Bergdorf Goodman

Even if most women don’t have many occasions on which they might use a Judith Leiber clutch, looking at the tiny, sparkly, intricately beaded evening bags is a pastime in which we can all participate. Bergdorf Goodman has recently added a six-bag Judith Leiber Fall 2011 preview to its website, which not only gives us a closer look at what Leiber is doing for the season, but also lets you pre-order from the selection for delivery at the end of July, if you’re so inclined. Pictures and prices, after the jump.

The genie lamp is crazy, but the first clutch is drool worthy!

    I really want the ladybug!!

These are so amazing! The craftmanship is astonishing! I’ve always loved Judith lieber, although her clutches sometimes can be a bit… odd! But that’s her style!

But I wonder… How do you open the genie lamp and the ladybug?

You rub the lamp and tickle the ladybug’s tummy, of course, LOL!

No, seriously, I think the lamp has a hinged lid and a pushlock clasp on the front and the ladybug has a slidelock clasp on its ‘nose’.

Not real sure how one would carry that Genie lamp, but I would love to have that one.

agreed, i can’t imagine how it would match well at a black tie event; it’s better left in a display cabinet at home…

There are several bags on my bucket list, JL is one of them. I love her colorful styles, the lamp and ladybug are wonderful.

The first one is gorgeous (kind of, vaguely, reminds me of one of my favourite Chloe clutch designs) and I really like the ladybird (or bug!) one, too. :)

Such artistic skill! The Houston is just gorgeous.

I love Judith Leiber purses but admitedly not all of them ! I couldn’t carry the genie lamp or the ladybug but I’d take that lovely purple, green and silver clutch with no hesitation..

  • 19yearslater

It’s not as if I’ll be buying any of these, so I feel free to pick the lamp as my favorite!

  • KaylaNiche

OMG! They are absolutely stunning. Works of art! I love them ALL!
