When the collection hit the runway in September, the art theme was evident everywhere from the show’s gallery-inspired show set to the collection on the runway.
Fendi hit big with its 2Jours totes, and the brand has put a playful spin on the seriously popular design with a line of monster-inspired bags and accessories. By now you’ve seen the bag monsters floating around the Internet (and maybe even on the bags of your friends), but Fendi has released an entire line of monstrous items. Some are more wearable, like chic blue pumps and a grey 2Jours, and some are more playful, like a bag embellished to look like an owl or a furry monster charm.
Finding a new designer is always exciting, especially when you consider the tight hold some big brands have on the handbag market. Earlier this month, I was introduced to Dillon Des Pres. When I saw his line, I felt a freshness that I always yearn for; the designs are simple and natural, with a beautifully finished aesthetic. It looks like Dillon Des Pres has an exciting career ahead of him – shortly after his launch, Moda Operandi commissioned this exclusive iPad case/clutch from him.
I’ve been so in love with the Coach Borough Bags since they first debuted, and since I added one to my collection, the bag has made its way into my regular rotation. Even salespeople at high-end stores have asked question about my Borough, and when I noticed how much attention it’s received, I realized I needed to give it a spot in our Purseonals lineup.
I love this time of year, as my favorite storefronts change our their windows with holiday displays and add new items often. If you happened to pass by the Chanel 57th street location over the weekend in NYC, you will have seen the new Chanel Cruise 2014 display. We got to see some of the best bags from the cruise collection and photograph them for you before the other stores have their windows transformed as well.
This Chanel backpack looks like it belongs to an art student, but it probably won’t fit into most aspiring painters’ budgets.
When it came time to design Mackage x PurseBlog Nomad Bag, my idea was to make a bag that is ideal for the lady on the move, which I constantly am. When I’m home in NYC, I change my bags out often, but Vlad and I travel a ton and I’m not someone who takes along a bunch of bags when I’m on the road; they’re cumbersome to pack, they could get lost, there’s just too much hassle.
Last month, I gave you a closer look at my Gucci Bamboo Shopper and promised a full review would follow. Well, it’s here. There are many reasons I want to review this bag, but one of the main ones is very simple: I’m obsessed with this Gucci stunner. When it comes to a tote, I’m never sure if I will feel incredibly strong about it, but it turns out that this tote is one of my favorite bags in my entire collection.
Personalization is huge in the handbag world right now and I am thrilled about it. We all have our own personal tastes when it comes to the bags we carry, and we also have our own initials to mark them with. A couple of brands have offered personalization services on some of their bags and accessories for several seasons, and now Valentino is getting in on the game with their highly coveted and super sleek Valentino MOC Clutch.
