When the Fendi Bag Bug came along a few seasons ago, it practically created its own fashion category: the bag accessory. Although bag charms had had pockets of popularity here and there, especially in Asian markets, a high-end worldwide trend like the one going right now is something of a first, and consumers have more options than ever.
It’s not hard to see the upside in these little baubles for both consumers and brands. For shoppers, bag charms allow you the freedom of customization without commitment; you can make a popular bag yours in a million different ways, but if you get sick of the look or want to resell the bag, all you have to do is unclip your charm. It’s a low-stakes alternative to monogramming your favorite design or picking an impractical bag because it’s bursting with personality.
These charms can adorn anything with a zipper or handle attachment, all the way from a pouch clutch to a hefty travel bag. If you’re more into keeping your fashion flourishes contained, they’d all be equally useful as keychains. For those of you who can’t imagine paying Bag Bug prices for a cute charm, fret not: our picks start at just $6.

and the mcm only 4 I liked
I need to show my kids the MK one. I love it. I could also go for the Valentino and the Tommy Hilfiger.
Love the Dolce & Gabbana cherry charm. So “refreshing” for summer.
me too. I thought it was the cutest of the lot.

I love the idea of bag charms but I think one of the pros of the bag bug is that it won’t scratch up your bag like other metal/plastic charms might… Anyone else?
Exactly my concern on most charms. No way I’m going to scratch an expensive bag with a doo-dad. So only soft options for me.
A lot of these are cute. However I feel like I am too old for bag charms (I’m in my mid 30s). Am I wrong?
I agree with you. I’m 55 and and is way too kiddie like for that amount of money.
girl, you are never too old for anything! If you like Hello Kitty at 90, get Hello Kitty!
Well, then I guess I am WAY over the hill for bag charms being in my 50s, but I like them. 30s? Rock those bag charms, girl!
I saw a lady in her 50s recently with a fendi bug in her Berkin. She was rocking it so I liked it.
Appreciate the post on this topic, thanks!
The Valentinos, the Coach, the Tory, the Stella, the Ferragamo, and the Kate Spade are my favorites.
I don’t carry MCM/Michael Kors/Moschino so I wouldn’t really want to carry a bag charm with such heavy branding.
No. 7 is actually a micro baguette right?
Didn’t Prada start this thing with the robot charms over ten years ago?
They certanly didn’t create the shopping frenzy the bag bugs have created
The trend is cute, the prices on some of these are absolutely ridiculous and silly.
I know it’s superfluous but I am in LOVE with the Valextra cat charm.
I never really cared for bag charms, save for the Karl bug. Now, I’ve added the Balenciaga charm here. But…. I see the MK ones perfect for mother’s day gifts 🙂
I love some of these! and most of them come in different colors too. 🙂
Yeah i love all of them and its really crazy because bags are accessories, so charms are accessories for the accessories and thats beutiful as fashion seems to evolve! I agree with previous comments that the prices some times are ridiculous but there are plenty of people that affords them! If you wanna check more on this subject i wrote some days ago a blog post about fur charms you can find it here https://www.hauteacorn.com/fur-bag-charms-latest-hottest-trend-spotted-everywhere/ .
