If you haven’t been watching It’s a Brad, Brad World, this season, then you’re missing out. Between Brad Goreski, his styling team, his fabulous clients and his hilarious boyfriend Gary, it’s an hour of solid entertainment, even without the beautiful clothes.
Well, the Loewe Poppy Sheep Amazona Bag looks cuddly, for lack of a better word.
For some reason, my first thought upon seeing this bag (which is part of Loewe’s Fall 2013 collection, on pre-order via Moda Operandi through March 28) was that if I were to ever be stranded at an airport, it would be the bag I’d want to have with me.
Fergie Ferg was recently snapped exiting a recording studio in NYC, wearing what looks to be a minidress made out of a 1980s windbreaker (though I’m sure it’s designer – anyone care to ID?) and carrying the Saint Laurent The Cabas Tote.
Back in November, we caught Mugler creative director Nicola Formichetti with an Hermes Birkin covered in his own drawings, and it seems as though he didn’t just stop there. Formichetti, who’s perhaps most widely known for being Lady Gaga’s stylist, has also translated his drawings to a limited-edition, doodle-covered handbag line for Mulger, like the Mugler Muglerette M Bag, sold exclusively at ShopBop.
Compared to fall, spring’s textures can be a bit…down-market. We love raffia and canvas as much as anyone else, but naturally, we love snakeskin and leather even more. So what’s the secret to incorporating successfully what might feel like a heavy material into your warm-weather wardrobe?
I know when you hear Tiffany & Co. the first thing that comes to mind is jewelry, not leather goods. But the brand known for the little blue boxes is fast on its way to become known for its big blue boxes as well.
I lamented not long ago that we don’t see a lot of fun color in men’s bags; beyond the most traditional of neutrals, mainstream designers don’t give dudes a whole lot to work with, even if warm weather.
Dakota Fanning was spotted two days ago on the first day of spring in NYC, toting her “Light Peacock” blue Proenza Schouler PS13 Bag. Kudos to Dakota for rocking the bright seasonal hues at the first available opportunity, despite the less than spring-like NYC weather.
If you haven’t checked in over at our sister site TalkShoes recently, you’re going to want to head over there now. We’ve got a gallery of Dolce & Gabbana’s zany Spring 2013 sandals and wedges, the low-down on the shoes Selena Gomez wore to film The Late Show, and a dissection of why the Charlotte Olympia cat loafers aren’t going away anytime soon. Check us out!
Today is officially the first Friday of spring! It might not feel like we’ve moved on to a new season in much of the US, but the calendar tells me so, and I believe it. (Maybe I just believe it because it’s too depressing not to, though.) In light of that, we thought we’d stock our weekly bag deals post with some rosy options to make your day a little bit warmer.
Spring might not quite have sprung outside (at least in New York – you may be luckier than we are), but it has definitely sprung inside Saks Fifth Avenue, circa the Diane von Furstenberg handbags. DVF’s spring bags have arrived in stores and online, and with materials ranging from raffia to lizard-embossed leather, they’re just the thing to get you through the seasonal transition and onto the right track for the weather ahead.
