Now that we have our fancy-schmancy new gallery system up and running, which provides the biggest, clearest images we’ve ever been able to give you on PurseBlog, it seemed only right that we exploit it with a truly fantastic celebrity bag wardrobe. Naturally, our minds turned to Victoria Beckham. Like the Olsens before her, she’s one of the only celebs to ever show enough knowledge about what makes a good bag to translate into an incredible accessories collection of her own.

With most popular bags available in a zillion different version ranging in size from “micro” to “weekender,” the shopping process can sometimes make you feel like you’re starring in your own private version of Goldilocks and the Three Bags. I had this problem when shopping for a Celine Luggage Tote a few years ago, and based on the rapturous reaction I saw to the advent of the mid-sized 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli Medium Tote on Twitter a few days ago from a few friends, it would seem as though this design has been giving people sizing fits as well.
JWoww (of Jersey Shore and Snooki & JWoww fame) was recently photographed leaving VH1 Studios in NYC with a bubblegum pink, saffiano leather MICHAEL Michael Kors Hamilton Studded Tote. While far more subdued versions of this bag exist, this colorway seems particularly JWoww-appropriate, does it not? If you have a similar weakness for gold hardware, studs and bright, bold hues, you can snatch up this bag in citrus yellow for $448 at Neiman Marcus.
Reminder! A brand new episode of It’s a Brad, Brad World debuts tonight on Bravo at 9 eastern, 8 central, and that means that your chance to win a $200 American Express gift card is here! If you’ve never seen the show before, now’s definitely the time to start.
Check out our post from yesterday for all the details, but the gist of it is simple: Watch tonight’s episode of It’s a Brad, Brad World, pick your favorite fashion moment, and then head straight back to yesterday’s post to let us know what you chose.
If you follow the fashion industry, then you might know that we have an entire culture of fashionistas that garner attention similar to that of A-list celebrities. One of our personal favorites and the industry’s new darling is the cute-as-a-button and always impeccably dressed Mira Duma. Mira is snapped coming and going to every show by every magazine, street style photographer and iPhone-wielder imaginable.
Actually, we’ve got two exciting things to debut for you today. First, of course, is a preview of the handbags to come in the Coach Fall 2013 collection, which we scoped out last week at Coach world headquarters. The bags are very much in keeping with the brand’s upward trajectory in recent seasons: a strong group of traditional shapes (for fall, think classic satchels and ladylike top-handles), rendered in rich colors and materials ranging from pumpkin calf hair to matte black metal studs.
I love Barneys and when the store approached me to be featured in The Window, I was thrilled. Alongside other fashion insiders and great fashion stories, The Window is one of the best behind-the-scenes sites by a retailer I have seen.
I sat down with Barneys to share everything from why I started PurseBlog, to my favorite bags for spring, to the items I would be caught with after a night locked in the store.
When it comes down to it, we’ve all got a lot to schlep on occasion (or sometimes more like every day). Schlepping, by its very nature, is not a particularly glamourous activity, but there are things that can be done to make it a little less dreary. Lately, we’ve found a bumper crop of simple, functional tote bags in stores, and the best thing about a big selection is being able to get something that not everyone else has.
I’ve been waiting for a designer to release a great looking glow-in-the-dark bag. Odd, I know, but I always look to my accessories to bring me a feeling of joy and fun, and what’s more fun than a good-looking bag that just so happens to glow in the dark when the lights go off? Leave it to the young and spunky Alexander Wang to give us what we’re looking for by offering glow-in-the-dark versions of a few of his classics, including the coveted Marion crossbody bag.
