Weekend Obsession: the Perfect Spring Outfit

There is not much to add as the pictures of these beautiful items speak for themselves. Clearly, my Weekend Obsession is out-of-this-world in both style and price.

The entire outfit revolves around the stunning Lela Rose Dégradé silk-organza full skirt, which I would like to make my spring, summer, and fall wardrobe staple. In fact, I envision this being the garment to wear to fashion week come September. If you spot anyone else with this skirt on, you know that they not only read our site but also agree with me. The unfortunate thing is the price is just under $5,000. However, if this baby gets marked down it WILL.BE.MINE.

With the skirt I’d like to pair the Balenciaga Croc City in lavender (swoon), a funky and awesome Lanvin Elephant Necklace, and a simple Miu Miu cashmere and silk sweater. Finally, I’d finish the look off with a strappy pair of Christian Louboutin Sandals.

Total price of this outfit: $25,700

Ouch.

Not a fan of this outfit… the colors don’t seem to be fighting with each other rather than complementing.

i do love the bag and the shoes on their own, though.

Really? Do you want to look like a gypsy? No offense meant, of course

HandbagReport

Megs, you would look fabulous in that outfit! I love the Lela Rose skirt!

Hmmm…I don’t think the bag, although gorgeous, goes with the skirt. It’s too structured for that skirt. And lose the necklace – I don’t care if it’s Lanvin, it’s not great!

The bag is pretty. Megs, I thought you were revealing your Bbag this week? Been waiting 🙂

Damn those shoes are amazing!

I LOVE this entire look!!!! So chic!

If Carrie Bradshaw was still on tv, she would be wearing this exact skirt! its gorgeous!! I would only change the bag to a clutch, and the top to a tank top. Post more spring looks, I always have trouble w spring style 🙁

^^^YES I love it! Carrie would TOTALLY rock this outfit!!! And that Bal bag is TDF….my heart seriously skips a beat when I look at it!

I think the skirt is gorgeous, but more for a formal affair (a ball? but who goes to balls who isn’t in Gossip Girl?) and not for a casual spring outfit. And the shoes are to die for, as is the bag.

Can’t wait for that Balenciaga reveal!

I love the Balenciaga! Gorgeous! The colors in the skirt are very pretty too!!

It’s a little matchy-matchy, and the necklace seems a little heavy for spring.
I really like that skirt, but I would probably pair it with a short sleeved t-shirt or a tank top.
I am not a fan of Balenciaga so I would probably switch this out with a white/ivory handbag like the sage Coach bag (re: Vanessa Flaherty).
Love the shoes!

The top ruins this outfit.

KaylaNiche

I would switch out the shoes to maybe a metallic gladiator. It’s a bit to matchy-matchy for me as well.

lulugurl2006

I like the bag, shoes and sweater…the rest…not sure about it

love love love the skirt, shoes and bag combo. good job Megs!

hello spring – warm welcome for this Balec bag and sandals

chloehandbags

I think the skirt would look good with a top in the same colour as the waistband of the skirt?

I’d wear them with ballerinas in pink-beige and then carry a rose pink clutch.

19yearslater

I want to get a long skirt to wear this year. Not this one, even marked down I’d get distracted by something shiny (a purse) and buy that instead.

Merve

I think because the skirt is so out there the rest of outfit has to be toned down. So i would match it with a plain t shirt and plain nude flats and a nude bag.

finny

The top ruins this outfit.

The top is a little “meh” for that skirt, maybe with a little more pink or beige, and lighter material. And although I LOVE that Bal, it does not go with the skirt – a clutch would let the skirt be the star.

Sarah

I think you have to pair it with a simple crocodile nancy gonzalez, no necklace, pearl shell earrings, patent leather Louboutin platform peep toes, and a simple cream cashmere sweater set.

Patricia

I think the look is totally cute!

Seejayluvsbags

I really like all of the accessories collectively & independently but can’t imagine that skirt. But on the right body frame I suppose…
