Vlad and I play this game of what we would buy if we had X amount of money and didn’t need that money for anything else. I actually hate this game. I usually get overly invested in my new fake, imaginary items, and it’s even worse when we play this game with lotto numbers. Don’t even get me started on pretending what we would do with $1 billion. Also, this is why I don’t gamble; I get too excited at the prospect of something that I may win and lose it all.
But here I am, going against everything I know is right and just for my mental state, and sharing what I would get if I had $5,500 for a brand new summer bag.
After your bag collection meets your basic, utilitarian needs, I suggest you pick something more playful and whimsical. A bag that allows itself to be the focal point of your outfit, a bag that shows that you don’t take life too seriously, and a bag that brings you joy.
All of these bags do just that for me. And I am back to dreaming about money winding up in my bag fund while not having other real-life.
My Favorite Summer Bags
So the price had to be $5,500 because I really love the Chanel 25 bag. And what’s more is I love it in washed denim. I mean, I don’t know who I am, but I am apparently the lady who wants this $5,500 denim bag.

The Andiamo continues to grow on me and pretty much everyone else; I keep seeing it in the wild. How cool is this rendition, though?! It’s luxury meets summer meets a variation that no one else will have.

I did. I fell for the Le Teckle, but this color option best suits me.

A see-through clutch? Sure, makes total sense.

I am such a Loewe lover, and this bag—well, she is all kinds of special! She feels like a late-night dancing on the beach kind of friend, doesn’t she?!

Again, I am really leaning into the summer-themed bag here. I already adore this design from Dior, and the raffia alongside leather trim transports me to my summer in the South of France (I am not going there, but I think Megs, who won the lottery, could be found there!).

The Jackie in this color is soothing; again, I think of Caribbean waters when I see it.

I have already shared my love for this bag, and I can’t leave it off my summer list. Obviously, I needed a wooden beaded bag from a designer brand.

Ok, she’s wild, right?! She’s dancing at dinner in St. Barth’s, kind of wild!

I am carrying her when I am let off my yacht for my day trips.

When Chloe on White Lotus carried a version of this bag, I thought she looked so chic. Take me to a 5-star resort, minus the murders, and I am poolside with this bag.

These are all really pretty bags. But $5500 would be an investment for me personally and I have never spent much on a strictly “summer bag”. Or any seasonal bag for that matter. But if I won the lottery, I would buy the first 3 bags and the last one for the beach house.
Question to anyone who owns the Le Teckel-does it hold enough to use it as an everyday carry? I love the green suede and could see using it year round.
If I had $5k to spend for summer it would be on something that would last
That was kind of my point – if I have money that doesn’t need to be used practically, it would be great to have more fun with it! I take usability, lifespan, and functionality into my bag purchases because the money isn’t endless, ya know!?
Aren’t luxury bags supposed to be well made and last. Ya know!?!?
