This past Saturday marked the official beginning of summer, according to nature, although the rest of us have been enjoying warm weather and leaving the office a little early on Fridays for weeks now. I celebrated this scientific designation by heading to the beach for a day, but if I were to turn a trip like that into a long weekend, I’d want the Herschel Malibu Collection Novel Duffel at my side.

Herschel makes tons of colorful, affordable travel bags and backpacks for both men and women, and although this bag was listed under the men’s section, I think it’d make a great, slightly nautical-feeling addition to basically anyone’s weekend trip. It’s preppy without being exclusionary, and bright without being obnoxious. Although there’s significant white space, the design also has enough stripes and colors to disguise wear, and Herschel’s products are known to be pretty durable. And if it does get stained, ripped or otherwise destroyed, there’s no great tragedy – it costs less than $100.

Pick up one of these duffels for your next long weekend via Bloomingdale’s for $75.

I just found the cutest Herschel tote over the weekend that I plan to use as a diaper bag. Their bags looks so cute and durable.

They’re really not that durable. I unfortunately bought a duffel and am sad to say that within 6 months of everyday use it wearing out pretty fast. This was a replacement bag for an hm canvas duffle i previously has that lasted 3 years and didn’t show much wear but the hardware broke
