When fashion writers talk about travel, we’re mostly concerned with what you’re going to take and what you’re going to put it in. Our advice ends where your trip begins, and after that, you’re largely on your own. Anyone who’s actually been on vacation, especially to the beach, knows that’s insufficient – packing to get home takes way more skill than packing to leave home. There are fewer choices, sure, but there’s a lot more opportunity for disaster. That’s where the nifty, colorful little Flight 001 Go Clean Packables come in.
I’m not a particularly skilled packer to begin with, and when it comes time to stuff dirty underthings, wet bathing suits, sandy beach dresses and sandals that are likely both wet AND sandy back inside my suitcase, which I don’t want to ruin, alongside clothes that aren’t yet afflicted by water, sand or both, my ability to make practical decisions goes straight out the window. Sometimes (sometimes) I remember to put an old pillow case inside my suitcase to contain my dirty clothes, but even that doesn’t particularly help with wet bathing suits or dirty shoes, and it’s certainly not organized. If I were of the gym-going persuasion, I’m sure that sweaty things would be a concern as well. (I am decidedly not of the gym-going persuasion.)
Flight 001’s nylon pouches, bags and totes all come with attendant pouches of their own, which makes them easy to fit into even the snuggest suitcases and keep organized until you need them. When the time comes, pull out the larger bags to safely stow unpleasant clothes and shoes, all in clearly labeled, brightly colored fashion. Each bag’s carrying case can then also be used to store smaller bits and pieces that you want to keep separate from your general suitcase. Getting home from vacation in one piece sounds easier already, doesn’t it?
