My days of being slightly frightened by Mr and Miss Marc are over, completely done with. In fact, I can barely remember why I was so creeped out in the first place! Oh, right- because they are kind of creepy. However, they’re extremely cool in an odd Tim Burton sort of way. But I’m over the creepiness.
Miss Marc is on everything now, from tees to backpacks to the coin purse I reviewed awhile ago. But none are as adorable or use muted colors as well as this Marc by Marc Jacobs Miss Marc Spot Cross Body Bag. It’s busy without being too confusing, and cute without being too juvenile. Plus, the illustration of Miss Marc compensates for her strangely shaped head by adding a pirate hat. Clever, Marc Jacobs, very clever.
Furthermore, the little crossbody capitalizes on the light denim trend that’s very now, and incorporates braiding and a suede tassel for a bit of a twisted flower power, hippie child vibe. But of course, the pirate graphic contradicts that, doesn’t it. We just can’t pin Miss Marc down; next thing we know, she might be a computer engineer and news anchor in the style of our blonde pal Barbie. Buy through Shopbop for $158.

I love the pirate iteration of Miss Marc. Of course, I don’t need this because I have the PTTM crossbody pouchette from MBMJ, but I still think that she’s adorable.
