As we all have learned, or at least surmised, by now, black and industrial are two of the biggest trends for fall. They’re also easily the most widely embraced trends that I can recall in recent memory, in terms of the number of designers buying in to the look. Studs and rough leather have become nearly omnipresent this season, and it’s hard to find any designer that hasn’t devoted at least a portion of their accessories collection to the look.
And even for a trend that I love so much, it’s important to have something different around to provide a juxtaposition in style and color. And to that end, we have the D&G Multicolor Lily Top Handle.
In another season, with different trends, I probably wouldn’t even like this bag. As it is, I’m not sure I do now. It’s got a 70s, retro, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat vibe to it that’s both silly and kind of attractive, although I suspect that may be my hangover talking.
But they kept the color combination season-appropriate, and the use of suede, metallic leather, and regular leathers feels less contrived than it often does in similar bags. I probably wouldn’t buy it myself since it’s very much not my style, but I can appreciate the restrained hand that it took to make a bag that uses so many colors and textures and not make it into something that’s obviously a novelty bag. Because above all, this looks wearable, which may be its greatest achievement. Buy through Luisa Via Roma for $1731.
Not for me. Too many details! Classy and functional, anytime.
Yuck, yuck, super yuck! This looks like the worst, most pleathery fakola bag you could ever hope to find at the Dollar Store! Are they kidding?
It is really ugly. Looks like something from an infomercial. Does it have a secret compartment for credit cards too?
The colours are great and it put a few studs on there without conforming to trends. I love it. I just wish it weren’t so expensive!
Sorry, I do not like this bag. Too much going on.
No, it looks like a designer 70s bowling bag.
I like the look. I think it will match many things in my wardrobe but I do not think I would so much for this bag.
I like the name too. I’m a sucker for bags that have names I’m fond of. Gah, why must it cost so much money?
Ew, the first thing I thought when seeing this bag is that it’s sooo ugly! Too many things going on, not liking the strips of colour and cheap looking material they made it out of.
Wow, for the price it’s going for I could buy a Louis Vuitton bag or something…def reminds me of a bowling bag too! Haha
i can’t get behind this one, y’all. way too much going on here for me. i prefer much cleaner lines. i appreciate the workmanship…but a woven bag or a special shading effect involves just as much craftmanship.
I like the purse. It’s different, and bold to me.
i don’t care 4 it myself!
It looks like it belongs in the hand of a Court Jester.
Nooooooooo..
That’s the worst looking bag I’ve seen all day.
