When we moved to New York City, nearly 15 years ago, is when New York Fashion Week became a twice yearly high point of my time living there. I remember the excitement and rush (and not even going to lie, overwhelmingness) I felt attending my first shows.
I distinctly remember navigating the tents to find the right venue and locate my seat, ensuring it wasn’t taken by someone else, waiting for the lights down, spotlight on, music blaring first moments. But what I remember most is my first Ralph Lauren show.
The Ralph Lauren many associate with the name is that of the iconic Polo emblem on shirts and other items. Ralph Lauren brand offers far more under its purveyor, and the namesake line under Ralph Lauren at the helm delivers some of the best Americana feel there is.
I remember the awe I felt after I left my first Ralph Lauren show. The first row of celebrity after celebrity and me feeling like I was living in an alternate universe that my handbag passion lead me to a seat at his show. So to see Ralph Lauren return with much excitement to New York Fashion Week delighted me. My review on the bags for its Spring 24 collection are to follow, but I wanted to share some of the best bags we spotted outside of the show.
All about the RL Logo
While I will forever be a huge Ricky fan, the Ralph Lauren 888 bag is the new focus for the brand. It’s simple in design, with a modernized RL logo acting as the hardware. The other bag family that received a ton of love at the show was the Ralph Lauren Wellington line. It features the Americana equestrian roots with an elegant and modern twist.
Check out the bags and people we spotted at Ralph Lauren!
