What Bags Are On Your Spring Wishlist?

With spring officially upon us we want to know, what bags are you lusting after?

The fashion industry and its trends are always changing, and right now with everything going on in the world, the industry is moving towards bright, vibrant styles that spark joy and a happiness within. First, there were tie-dye pieces galore and now it’s all about beautiful, colorful hues, and though I never dreamed that I would be terribly interested in this type of aesthetic on a personal level, more and more I find myself attracted to the current colorful movement in fashion.

While I’ll forever be drawn to grab the black version first, I’ve finally reached a point in my life where I’ll stop and give the other options a second look. When it comes to the bags this season, a lot of what’s out there right now is great, and even though I don’t *need* anything, for the first time in a while there are a few bags that I’m actually considering adding to my collection.

The new season has made me construct a running wish list of bags I’d like to add to my collection this upcoming season/year and though I could always rattle off bags I’d love to have if someone were to gift them to me (or if my budget were unlimited) below are the three picks at the top of my wishlist, and ones that I am hoping to budget for in the coming months.

Take a look at my picks below—what bags are you looking forward to snapping up for your spring wardrobe?

Bottega Veneta Mini Bag ($1,250)

This one shouldn’t come as much of a surprise—I’ve been obsessed with all Bottega everything over the last couple of years, and though I’d very much love a Mini Jodie this bag is more realistic for me in terms of budget. I love the wide range of colors it comes in and truth be told I’ve got my eye on a few different hues. I love the idea of a bold statement like green or purple, but this seafoam tone is also quite pretty and a little less loud.

Louis Vuitton Epi Leather Alma PM ($595)

Again, this pick probably isn’t a shocker for many of you, as I’ve wanted to add something from Louis Vuitton’s extensive Epi leather to my collection for quite a long time. The iconic Alma certainly has been on my radar on and off, and I love the many variations of color LV has produced over the years. I check the resale market periodically to see what’s out there.

Saint Laurent Le Maillon Leather Shoulder Bag ($2,490)

A couple of months back I mentioned that I had gone through a bit of a bag rut, but this season has brought me out of it. I’m not sure if it’s the thought of things returning to a “new normal” that has me excited to use my bags again or if it’s truly that there is a lot of newness on the market that I love, but either way I’m genuinely falling back in love with bags and collecting again. I really like the Le Maillon from Saint Laurent, and the more I see it the more I really appreciate its timeless appeal and clean construction.

I seriously love the seafoam color! And even though I’m pretty sure it’s discontinued, there was a turquoise Louis Vuitton Epi line that, much like its lilac Epi line, is SO pretty! I think anything from these colorways would make great additions to your wardrobe, and within your budget too if you get ’em pre-owned.

I love the seafoam color too and found an Alma in that color in vernis leather that I’m in love with but I’ve also discovered the Ikat line of LV so now, I’m quite torn! There’s this insistent nagging in my ear to just get them both! Trying to resist and choose just one… Lol! What do you think?

I am a fan of black bags too but I also am leaning towards bright colors as of late. I love the color on the Bottega and that LV Epi has my heart skipping a beat!

After not buying a bag for four years, I finally pulled out my cc last week for Celine’s medium Triomphe in coated canvas. It’s the perfect crossbody size, as well as durable and elegant. I think a lot of people will be attracted to “fun” bags post-COVID, but I’m actually the opposite. If anything, the pandemic has made me more thoughtful when it comes to big purchases.

I want a white flap bag. I haven’t quite found one that I want. I’m not talking about a Chanel or anything expensive. Just thinking of the style. Definitely leather.

I also would like a Louis Vuitton Belem.

I’m obsessed with the Gucci horsebit 1955 in white. It’s classic and gorgeous.

After years of buying and selling lots of bags, I don’t want anymore. I’m looking to sell some pieces and I’m happy with what I have.

I agree-I’ve been not in a bag rut per say, but I’ve had too many on my wishlist and haven’t found many that make me really joyful and excited to see. I go back and forth between my love for the French houses-I have a Parisian sensibility because I’ve lived and studied there(my degree is in French language and literature) Chanel is absolutely at the top of my list, but I’m going shopping with my fiance for a ring, so I can’t make that investment-however when I saw Saint Laurent’s Resort and SS’21 shows I really saw that look that I really love-and then, Le Maillon came along and I absolutely fell in love with it. It is really beautifully crafted and has the timeless appeal that you mentioned. Someone mentioned that Covid makes one want a really fun bag-and I do agree with that as well. Fendi’s SS’21 bags(especially the new gorgeous versions of the Baguette are on my wishlist as well)

Would love a B25 or 30 in a bright color, something in the red or pink family, but I absolutely know with 100% certainty that it’s not gonna happen.
