Loewe and Miu Miu Continue to Battle for the Lyst Index’s Top Spot

Miu Miu reclaims the top spot from Loewe, as the Q2 2025 Lyst Index reveals deeper insight into what we're eyeing (and buying)

Miu Miu is the Hottest Brand Lust 2025 Q2

If you’re a fashion lover who’s chronically online—I’m talking you circle through a scroll rotation of Instagram, TikTok, Substack, Google News, and more—it’s likely you have a pretty good idea of what’s trending at any given time.

That said, our devices and platforms are tailored to us, so we see more of what we like, but what about those whose aesthetics or styles might differ from yours?

That is why we look to the Lyst Index, which gives us an all-encompassing look at what’s trending in fashion all over the internet—not just within your core friend group and the influential people you follow or keep up with.

Miu Miu and Loewe Trade Places—Again

Data doesn’t lie, and Lyst considers metrics from a wide range of sources, including actual sales, social media callouts, Google searches, and more, to comprehensively examine everything trending in fashion during a three-month period. All of the data is compiled into a detailed report, and Lyst’s 2025 Q2 Index just hit—let’s unpack it!

A surprise to almost no one, Miu Miu leads the pack this quarter, but the competition was tight. Prada’s little sister swapped places with Loewe, who came in at number one in Q1 after jumping 3 places following a bit of a slump in the latter half of 2024. The duo is back to fight it out in 2025, though with Loewe seeing a surge following the celebration of its 10th Puzzle Anniversary.

Still, Prada Group continues to rule while other brands continue to suffer, with Prada coming in at number 4 behind Saint Laurent. Still, Miu Miu continues to defy the odds, despite the great luxury slowdown, and its retail sales were the driving force behind growth at Prada Group in the first half of 2025, increasing by 49% year-over-year.

Economic Caution Continues to Shape Luxury Spending

When it came to the most popular products this quarter, not a single bag made it into Lyst’s top ten products, which is a noteworthy mention.

This likely points to a trend towards shoppers spending less of their discretionary income overall as the economy’s uncertainty increases. A pair of designer shoes, for instance, may cost around $1,000, while a handbag will set you back around three or four times the price.

The report also noted the viral Labubu craze and the importance of lower lift purchases, such as bag charms, accessories, and more, that can make a big statement.
