I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with logo bags. When I first became obsessed with the idea of starting my designer bag collection, the only brand I wanted to buy from was Louis Vuitton. Logo bags were all the rage at the time, and Louis Vuitton was the best of the best, and so naturally it was all I wanted. Well, times and trends change, and eventually I fell out of love with logos. Recently, though, they’ve been coming back with vengeance, and even though I’m warming up to logos again, I was kind of against one logo brand in particular. I started falling more and more in love with MCM bags recently, but I’ve mostly been more attracted to their leather bags sans logo. However, when I saw this little mini bag, I thought to myself, “Man, I think I’m really digging it!”
What first drew me in was the adorable shape of this little mini bag. Mini bags these days are pretty much everywhere, but I love that the shape of this bag is so just so timeless. It looks like MCM took a classic satchel shape and shrunk it down. Though this bag does feature the MCM logo, I really like the contrasting solid brown leather on the front pocket and gussets of the bag. Though I’ve been on the fence with MCM’s other logo bags, the contrast is what really makes me love this one.
This sophisticated bag is super structured and doesn’t have much give to it at all. It looks exactly the same when empty or full. It’s crafted of MCM’s signature embossed coasted canvas with contrasting leather and gold-toned hardware. An ornate pushlock closure etched with the MCM logo keeps the bag securely fastened. The bag can be carried via the top handle, which is so dainty and cute, or you can wear it cross-body via the removable—and adjustable—longer strap. I love the versatility that this offers, and I liked carrying it best with both straps attached because you can switch up the ways that you carry it! However, this would look so cute for a nighttime look carried via the little top handle.
One of my favorite features of this bag—and others that I’ve reviewed lately—is the back exterior pocket. It’s perfect for storing grab-and-go items you need quickly, like a subway card when you’re on the go, or your ID/debit card on a night out. Inside, the bag is lined in a microsuede material and has one interior zippered pocket. Overall dimensions of the MCM Patricia Visetos Satchel are 6.7″ H x 8.3″ W x 3.1″ D. The interior is definitely tiny, but it fit my iPhone X, a small card case, my sunglasses in a cloth pouch, some various cosmetics, and a pack of gum in the front pocket—and I even still had room to spare!
I love it! Though it screams logo, it still looks classic enough when the trend is through. And I do have to say that MCM quality is above other brands.
It’s a winner, good looking bag and reasonably priced.
It looks like my Loeffler Randall Rider Bag.
I was going to say this! Its an awkward combination of the Rider and the LV Pochette Metis
Hideous.
?
I like it
It’s pretty. Yeah it’s a logo. Si what? There is so much more going on with it than just the logo. It’s very stylish, chic and feminine. Such a great touch to any outfit and will definitely turn heads.
I don’t hate MCM logo bags – I own one myself. But this one looks just like the Louis Vuitton Monceau. The only difference is the leather panel, which in my opinion ruins the harmony of the whole design.
Nope…..not even considering it. When I see it in the store it just looks so blah. It’s logo is everywhere on the bag.
Chinatown cheap. No thanks.
I really dislike MCM, especially their logo bags. They’re the Michael Kors bags of upper mid-tier.
I actually like the bag. But it’s way too small to be practical for me.
