October 2021 Update
Louis Vuitton just had its second price increase for 2021 on October 1st which has impacted items across the board. We have the old and new prices along with the percent change. Thanks to our PurseForum member, Emphosix, we have the most expansive list of before and after price increase numbers including US, UK, and EURO pricing.
The Louis Vuitton Pochette Accessoires, a popular choice for a first Louis Vuitton bag, increased in price by 33% from $790 to $1,050. The Speedy family went up about 17% across the board as well. The more expensive leather bags had the lowest increases, while the popular monogram bags seemed to be impacted the most drastically with price changes.
Multiple PurseForum members shared that their sales associates and personal client service representatives have let them know that a Louis Vuitton price increase for 2021 is happening. We can confirm this price increase and have a breakdown of the bags impacted and the new prices.
The majority of bags impacted are part of the permanent Louis Vuitton canvas bag collection. Bags like the Louis Vuitton Capucines and the Louis Vuitton Twist were spared, as was the entire line of regular Louis Vuitton Speedy Bags. However, if you prefer the Speedy Bandouliere, you will see a small increase on each bag there. The increase across the board is very reasonable, $40-$50 for some Louis Vuitton staples with small percentages of 2-5% increase.
However, if you are a fan of some of the most popular iconic monogram bags, the increase can be felt a bit more. The ever-popular Louis Vuitton Pochette Accessories in Monogram Canvas was increased from $630 to $790, which is a 25% increase. The highly sought after Multi Pochette Accessoires went from $1,860 to $2,050 which is an increase of 10%.
Many thought the increase was only for the US, but we have intel from a PurseForum member that the price increase took hold in Germany (EU) already.

The price increases this year are absolutely ridiculous. I’m a lover of fashion and will happily spend any money I have left on a beautiful item. However, when I look at this chart I just feel like the industry has lost every sense of reason. What the actual f***?!
Now if they actually had any of these bags in stock on their website this would make more sense

There is nothing reasonable about these price increases. LV last raised their prices during lockdown and now again? Prices are going up, quality is going down. I am done with this “design house”.

You are better off calling around. Stores have pieces and can ship them out.

I bought a bag from a Chanel store and Fashionphile was selling the same exact bag for well over $1,000 more than I paid. I have gotten some bags from Fashionphile that I am very happy with but you have do your research.
Exactly! I’ve also seen new bags on their site, sold for more, even when the item can be found on the online boutique or in the store. This taught me to always do my research prior to purchasing anything from them. Also since they’ve collaborated with N.M. they offer far less for popular Chanel & Hermes new, pristine, store fresh bags. I’ve submitted bags from these design houses, but due to their low offers rarely sell to them.
And their offers are low. I got offered $75 for an LV speedy in used condition but no damage.

Such different bags – do you need to carry a lot? Or prefer something that is a bit more compact but still holds a good amount? Do you want a structured tote in your collection or a bit more casual styled bag?
Honestly don’t get to carry any of the bags these days. I am more on the petite side and am skeptical if the Onthego would look overwhelming on me. That said, I love the Emperiente Onthego but have an Pochette Metis in Emperiente already. So, I was looking to get canvas this time. Plus the price on the Neonoe is titling me towards that direction.

I paid around $500.00 for my Speedy 25 in the 5th Avenue store and I think $750.00 for my Alma in the Las Vegas store. They’re oldies but they look good, these prices are ridiculous to me.
My first speedy (only speedy to be honest) was $700 in store. That felt crazy at the time. But now. Especially during a pandemic this feels insane.

That’s how I feel about this as well. Overall, it’s very reasonable. $40-$50 covers inflation costs etc. When we are talking $300, it’s getting a bit out of hand!
We’ve had the increase here in Australia 24hrs ago. Examples: key cles from $300 to $360; mini pochette from $485 to $595
Can’t justify their price and quality any longer. But only for show collection bags and limited collection are better than permanent collection pieces in my opinion.
I refuse to pay more than $1000 for a handbag. Thankfully I bought my Speedy 30 (ebene) when it was $900 and that was the most I’ve ever paid for a bag. I liked that it was lightweight and durable (I would never buy monogram). There are plenty of beautiful quality bags out there for under $1000. Luxury bags are beautiful but prices are getting crazy.

I think onthego mm is the one to buy I am easily seeing them on other sites for more, and I am like why, just buy straight from lv.
These prices are so insane compared to when I used to buy LV.
The speedy 25 monogram canvas is listed at $1350 on the U.S. website. Before the pandemic I remember it being just under $1000.
