It’s been a decade since Alber Elbaz joined Lanvin, and since his start the brand has taken a turn for the better. More people recognize Lanvin and consider it a brilliant collection, myself included. To celebrate his first ten years, Lanvin is launching a celebratory capsule collection. The widely recognized Happy Medium bag is a spotlight in the collection, and pictured above is one of the limited edition versions that was just released.
The brand has roots in whimsical glamour, and this bag is no exception. But is it too over the top? This version features a metallic gold woven canvas body with a hand-embroidered heart applique embellished with red crystals. The best way to put words to this bag is turning to you. Buy via Net-A-Porter for $2,590.
Fill in the blank: The Lanvin Happy Medium Metallic Canvas Shoulder Bag is ____.
Sort of cheap looking in the photo, like something you’d see at Ross or Marshall’s.
tacky.
canvas, you must be kidding
Agree with it looking cheap. $2590 is too high a price to pay for it.
Too glittery! Too much everything. A miss for Lanvin.
I like everything about it except that it is canvass :O
NON EXISTENT!GROSS! ‘Hand embroidered’=artsy craftsy! and to think they had the nerve to present this to a ‘purchasing audience’! The price??..commenting on that would be acknowledging this travesty!
love, love love Alber Elbaz. Everything he’s done for Lanvin is pure genius. It’s Parisian chic at its finest, and this bag is so playful. however, the price is a little steep for a bag like this. inevitably, i’m going to compare it to a Chanel at a similar price, and given the choice for an investment, I’d take the Chanel.
cheap and tacky, unfortunately..
creasy. looks poorly made, sorry.
Cute
Adorable!
Bloomin’ awful! Looks like kid’s arts and craft project! Sorry! Usually love Lanvin, but this …. sigh
