Jonathan Anderson was appointed Creative Director of Loewe back in 2014 and immediately the young designer struck a chord with the industry’s most fashionable editors and street style stars alike. The designer’s first handbag for Loewe was equal parts innovative, unique and stylish. The cube-like shape became a hit almost instantaneously, and has remained a cult-favorite ever since.
Instantly recognizable by its distinctive geometric shape and origami-inspired panels, we’ve covered the Loewe Puzzle Bag a fair bit, but this expertly crafted silhouette remains on our radar due to its uniqueness, and now the bag is reimagined for spring in an adorable nano size and an array of fun, bold colors.

The nano version arrives in spring ready hues like yellow, green, blue and red with a neutral brown rounding out the collection. The details make the bag, and hand-painted black edging lines each panel of the supple Spanish leather, making the geometric lines really stand out. This adorable mini version a fan-favorite new classic, the Nano Loewe Puzzle Bag can be carried via the leather top handle or worn crossbody with the delicate, detachable chain strap. Purchase via Moda Operandi or Net-a-Porter for $1,350.
It fits the iPhone 12 mini, card case, AirPods and a lip balm.
This is going to be one hard-to-get-into bag.
yeah, this was my first though. flat bags lend themselves to mini sizes, but this thing will be awful even if you’re just keeping your keys in it. Didn’t Megs’ purseonals review note how hard the medium size was to get in and out of?
It did! And I don’t even think this one will hold a phone. I love the Puzzle in the large and medium sizes but this one would be super inconvenient.
The phone is the biggest stopper for me. I can leave everything behind, but not my phone, and I see no point in carrying a purse if it can’t hold my (not gigantic) phone. At that point might as well go no-bag (to me).
I love the spring and neutral colors, but for me it’s too small to be functional.
This bag, no matter the size, does nothing for me.
The zipper will eat my hand.
I have the small version and have small hands so it works for me. I cannot image trying to get anything into or out of this bag. Will my phone even fit in there? It’s cute but not functional at all.
It looks adorable in this size but every review I’ve watched has said that the small size can be difficult to get in and out of. I can only imagine how scratched your hand would be with the mini. They should have kept the overall look but changed the opening in some way to make it functional.
If this type of bags is so uncomfortable and impractical. I don’t know why Balenciaga, Prada, Hermes or Jequemous, among others, take out this size all seasons. ??.
Loewe is a great Maison with a high quality in materials and desing. Amazona, Hammock, Gate o Ballon are great bags, too.
I’m over bags that look more like accessories than a bag.
Still too big. They should shrink it down to under 2 inches.
I just don’t get the tiny bag trend, they all look silly to me. These in particular.
