Some brands aren’t covered in the bag world as much as others, but possess just as storied history and deserve a bit more attention. MCM Worldwide is one of those brands. I’ve known the brand for many years, but when I was in Florence, Italy for an event over a decade ago and met its team and saw its bag, I became a pretty big fan of the brand.
While the MCM Worldwide monogram bags may the variations you know best, some of my personal favorites include leather versions from the House that give fashion-forward options with superb quality (the Milla tote is still one of my favorite bags in my collection when it comes to functionality and style for travel!).
A Closer Look at the Travia Family
An updated take on the MCM Worldwide logo takes centerstage on its new Travia Bag family and I’ve had a first look at this new line. The calf leather bags are offered in a variety of shapes, and my favorite aspect is how usability and functionality were taken into consideration for all of these designs.
My favorite of the MCM Worldwide Travia Bags is this Mode Tote, which is available in two sizes. I love the ingenuity that transforms this bag from a handheld carry with one shape, to a shoulder carry with an entirely new shape.
You can remove and change the shoulder strap which winds up with new designs of a bag. It’s simple in theory, but when you see it on the bag, it will make you appreciate and love the bag even more. I also am a fan of a bright color, and while the purple sample we shot isn’t online right now, the green hue is and there is also a more classic brown option as well.
A smaller crossbody bag, shoulder bag that double as a clutch, and a multi-functional backpack round out this family. The MCM Worldwide logo received an modern update and defines these bags as well. It feels fresh and fun and entirely new, and sometimes, when you know a brand for its monogram, it’s fun to see different options that bring newness excitement to the brand.
