When most people think of MCM, the traditional Visetos print comes to mind. And while this print has become somewhat synonymous with the brand, MCM offers far more. This season, there’s newness in town, including a new line, the MCM Himmel Lauretos Collection.
This is a significant moment for MCM as it introduces a new logo, and this one is a bit more pared down and subdued but still includes elements that make it easily identifiable as MCM.
The New Lauretos Monogram
The new Lauretos monogram is presented by a repeating pattern of the noble laurel leaves that are part of the brand’s emblem and remain integral to MCM’s brand DNA.
The laurel leaf, which is actually a bay leaf, creates the Lauretos monogram. There are Nappa leather accents on these bags, as well as different colors and variations.
This new monogram sits pretty on these bags; from a classic everyday tote to a compact shoulder bag with a retro vibe to a modern, trendy vanity case, there are options to suit every need.
Soft Leather Options
Though the Himmel Lauretos collection showcases the new MCM logo with more emphasis on the laurel leaf through the Lauretos monogram, there are also full leather options in different families. This flat black tote is part of the Aren line.
This large Aren foldover tote has an oversized embossed logo motif on the front with the laurel leaf logo, while the reverse side offers the MCM name logo. You fold this extra large tote over for a contemporary, statement-making feel.
My favorite bag of this bunch is the Diamond Tote. This bag is versatile, classic, clean, and has interesting visual elements.
The bag is crafted from supple Spanish calf leather, and the cutout is a nod to the contours of Bavarian diamonds. The shoulder strap is adjustable, allowing for crossbody wear, and when it comes to practicality, this bag offers it!
The new MCM bags for spring offer a refresh for the brand and a wide variety of bags and designs for your daily needs.

The leather pieces are interesting. I really like the tote in the final photo. The logo canvas bags terribly basic and boring.
The small diamond tote in embossed leather is made in South Korea while the company is “German born” since 1976. Idk, but is Italian made leather better quality than South Korean? I’m asking for clarification, only because I know that many companies have bags made in different countries.
I am not sure but I own many designer bags, some MCM. I love all my MCMs. They are truly built to last.
MCM has been a Korean company for several years now.
I’m not sure but I’m guessing a lot of production is done in South Korea now.
Ohh that little shoulder bag is so cute! And the diamond leather bag, I’m intrigued!
