The line has expanded a lot recently, but the Christian Dior Lady Dior Bag, one of the brand’s most classic styles still has a lot to offer for handbag customers.

I have always loved this bag even though it can be painful to get your stuff out of it. I especially love the cannage pattern and the handles. I am glad I can find these two design elements in other Dior bag now.
Dior website give a brief history of the bag. It was created in 1994 and renamed in 1996 after Princess Diana fell in love with it.
I love the medium size with black patent leather and silver hardware. WOW, so beautiful.
Is that leather lining on the inside of the bag?
The grained calfskin lady diors are leather lined as well as the exotics.
In all the photos I’ve seen, it’s textile. That might be different on exotic bags.

I think the Lady Dior bags are kind of mysterious because they’re sold so few places and so little information is provided online. On top of that, the huge range of seasonal options can be a little intimidating and make it seem like there’s more going on than there is.

Love this post!! This remains my favorite bag – iconic, lady like, understated. There’s a pearl finish leather option that you missed out and some of the history behind this icon would’ve been nice (hint Lady D). Buyer beware, getting in and out of the medium sized patent bag has left me with a few light scratches as it is very stiff. I read on tpf that the lambskin is not as stiff. All around my best bag purchase till date! I’m eyeing a medium lambskin for Christmas!

Wow…I didn’t realize these bags were so expensive.
I remember the time when they weren’t as expensive, and I am not even that old. I guess same can be said about other brands.
You guys forgot to mention how the opening for the micro and mini sizes are different. And also forgot to mention their grained deerskin. And most importantly, the history of the bag!! That is the best part!!
I didn’t see any mention or photos of a grained deerskin in our Dior forum–any chance you could point me to a photo?
The one that I have is a Lady Dior from Pre-Fall 2014 (it is the one with the rose print on it). My SA told me that it was grained deerskin.
Is there a strap or chain option with the medium size?
The medium comes with a leather shoulder strap–you can see it in the “Interior” shot above, which is of the medium.
also may i mention that certain leathers and combinations are available with all leather interior something i perosnally like much more tan the silk option.

I love this bag!!!! It’s at the top of my “to buy” list.
I finally got to see them (with the intent to purchase the now sold out ???????????? silver perforated) on vacation in Las Vegas.
I had heard – but was still surprised – at how cumbersome it was to get my hand in the smaller bags even though my hands are small boned. Getting a wallet or sunglasses case in and out of the smaller bags would be a pain. So, I think the only option for me will be the large even though the crossbody smaller sizes are TDF!!!
That being said, these are crazy beautiful bags!! I think every woman should own at least one.

Very nice review! I’ve been meaning to add this bag to my collection but not so sure about the size. And I diverted to Chanel. I’ve called the Dior number on the site, and they take phone orders! And tax free on states that they don’t have a brick and mortar store!

The medium Be Dior is the perfect size and is versatile..cross body ,shoulder strap, or use handle. Perfectly balanced.
There is something with the Lady Dior that I really love. It’s very feminine and is such a classic. The medium size looks perfect for daily use.
